Even though it feels like spring is barely here (depending on the weather each day 😅) we are here to remind you it's time to book your summer and fall events!

♥️ blood drive reminder! ♥️

This Friday on 2/14 we're hosting our You're Somebody's Type Blood and Platelet Drive held on Valentine's Day at Promenade On Providence with OneBlood. Come out between 12-5 p.m. to make your donation.

Why a blood drive? Four years ago our founder Jen gave birth to an incredible baby boy named Henry. Henry was born with a condition called Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia (NAIT). This is a blood-related disease affecting newborns and mothers. When a mother’s and baby’s blood platelets do not match, it can cause life-threatening issues, including bleeding in the baby’s brain.

This condition is deadly for infants, and Henry's life was saved thanks to donations others made. Each year since then we've held a blood drive on Henry's birthday to give back and help others.

💕 You're Somebody's Type 💞

We're proud to announce the fourth annual "You're Somebody's Type" Blood and Platelet Drive held on Valentine's Day at Promenade On Providence with OneBlood. This blood drive holds a particularly special spot in our hearts.

In 2021 our owner Jennifer gave birth to a beautiful baby boy named Henry. When he was born, it was quickly discovered he had a condition called Neonatal Alloimmune Thrombocytopenia (NAIT). Henry's life was saved thanks to blood donations, and as a family we are eternally grateful. We donate blood consistently now and do our best to encourage others to do the same.

✨ manifesting more shopping center events this year ✨

Over the years we've had the privilege of helping a few shopping centers in Charlotte create community-driven events which have succeeded in increasing their foot traffic and created a more engaged audience for their tenants. It's been SO much fun working with various shopping centers and supporting their specific needs. We've done everything from movie nights to a celebration for National Bee Day, which ended up being a huge hit.

We've found that working with shopping centers has been particularly fun. They have so many unique possibilities to create community spaces for businesses and community members to thrive, and we love being part of it!

Meet the Weddings at J. Leigh Events team!

ICYMI: On Monday we announced we're taking on a limited number of wedding clients in 2025! With a focus on micro weddings and elopements, our team is poised to help you plan the day of your dreams, as well as any wedding related celebrations (think engagement parties, showers, post-ceremony celebrations and more).

Today we want to take a moment to tell you a bit more about Brittney and Erica, the two who will be leading the charge!

Brittney is one of our most senior event planners on the team. She has over 10 years of experience in the industry, with several of those years having been spent at Duke Mansion, where she was responsible for many weddings and wedding celebrations. She's practical, organized and uses event planning as her creative outlet, ensuring you get a one-of-a-kind experience.

Erica is our stylish, detail-oriented fashionista with a love for bright colors and flare. She's made her name in Charlotte as one of the most talented wedding planners in the area over the past 13 years and she's excited to take on some new clients this year! Her excited energy and fun personality will make you feel at ease as you finalize the details for one of the most important days of your life!

Grinchfest is this weekend at Waverly Charlotte and we don't know about you, but we can't wait to get grinchy for the season 💚 Come out on Sunday from 1-5 p.m. to enjoy hot drinks, holiday treats, meet the Grinch himself, get your face painted, decorate an ornament and play in the snow (YES, SNOW ❄️)!

This event will benefit Second Harvest Food Bank, which will distribute food to families in need throughout the holiday season. Please consider bringing some items to donate! The most needed items are:
