Split Second Sound, a well-known DJ entertainment company, is currently seeking a Weekend Event Assistant. We're looking for someone who can wear many hats and is eager to earn extra income on weekends. No prior experience is necessary as we provide comprehensive training.

**Responsibilities:**
- Primary responsibility: Manage DJ check-ins and coordinate backups if necessary.
- Assist with equipment drop-offs and pick-ups.
- Capture photos and videos to document events and support marketing efforts.
- Monitor company email inquiries.
- Learn and adapt to various tasks to contribute to the success of weekend events.
- Maintain a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.

**Requirements:**
- Availability to work most weekends and some evenings.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Looking for a large room or even warehouse that we can use/rent for maybe 2 nights to record some videos. I was thinking of an empty warehouse (not being used) that they wanted a few days rent in the meantime. A venue with high ceilings (but we want to use a little haze). Any suggestions?

Entertainment at a wedding is about creating a unique vibe, an overall experience that lasts with people a long time. Especially in these times, getting it right is vital. Finding the right entertainment is not just picking who "you" like (technically), but who will "Gel" with your mix of family & friends, respect your wishes but also give you reasonable advice to make your wedding even more special.
Find out, not only how is their experience with weddings but more importantly, how is their approach to "your" wedding? What makes "your" wedding different from the one the week before or after? Every wedding is different and a mistake many people make is thinking all DJs are the same. They just play music. The difference most times between DJs is how they handle things like music selection (the timing of playing the right song at the right time), do the songs flow smoothly one song to the next, flow (handling the formalities and interacting with other vendors in a professional manner) and problems that arise, are they quick to solve it and keep the party of track. Every wedding has a hiccup. Think about it, they mostly play and can play the same songs so those other factors ARE the difference.
Unlike buying a product or an item, you are buying a service, so knowing the history, the reputation, the approach & how DJs are different is what will help you find the right entertainment for your wedding.

For the past 3 1/2 months, some Charlotte vendors have been having a wedding zoom call to share stories, help each other with advice and try to learn more to help each of our clients.
