A formal spiral staircase to the Club's upper level and fine furnishings in a traditional Southern style create an atmosphere of refined sophistication. The Club's location on the top two floors of the 121 West Trade building gives Members and guests an unparalleled view of Charlotte and the surrounding areas. It also offers convenient parking in the building's garage. During the week breakfast is
available in the Grill Room. At lunch members may choose between a la carte lunch served in the Mecklenburg Room or the buffet in the Grill. In the evening members may enjoy formal dining in one of the Club’s dining rooms or opt for the Grill which offers a casual menu. Dinner is served Wednesday through Saturday. The Club is always available to Members for private parties. There are suitable accommodations for every type of event, from quiet luncheon meetings and small intimate dinners to large formal private parties and receptions. Six exquisitely furnished private dining rooms on the upper level can serve parties of 10 to 150 guests. In addition, the dramatic two story Queen Charlotte Ballroom and Mecklenburg Room on the lower level can be reserved for larger receptions, meetings or parties. Also on the lower level the beautifully appointed Stonewall Jackson Room which is surrounded by pine paneled member wine lockers is available for parties up to forty. For such events, the Club's Director of Private Events is available to assist Members with planning, including custom menus. Membership provides reciprocal guest privileges at more than 350 clubs across the United States and abroad. An affiliation with nearby Charlotte Athletic Club gives City Club Members an athletic club option and an affiliation with the Verdict Ridge Country Club, River Run Golf and Country Club, River Hills Country Club, Firethorne Country Club, High Meadows Golf and Country Club, Asheville Country Club and the Dunes Golf and Beach Club offers the opportunity for golf on some of the area's most preferred courses.
