I love a veil moment. The fabric and textures make for the most sumptuous photographs and add a classic air to any wedding look.

Resplendent fabric and textural movement inspire me when I'm designing and curating a couple's big day. Take this veil, for example, it adds a gossamer air, intimacy, and dimension--all things I want to capture in the overarching design and experience of my couples.

Why do a typical photo booth at your wedding when you can elevate your guest experience with a portrait session?

Don’t get me wrong, I love having memories of your guests to have and cherish (maybe laugh at) as much as the next person, but a traditional photo booth doesn’t fit every wedding?

While you’re planning your wedding, consider a live portrait painter, cartoonist, or photographer to pose and capture your guests.

Set the stage with a styled area that goes beyond props—florals, furniture, and more—create the vibe! Your guests will love it and so will you.

This month and year is all about intentional design and details for me, so I wanted to share a tidbit or two for you to save and reference while planning your wedding!

🍾 Planning doesn’t end once you’ve picked your team of vendors. Often it feels like the job is done, but it’s only the beginning. Go in with a game plan and book your vendors early to leave ample time for detail planning and fine tuning.

🍾Bring on a wedding planner. Details are literally what we do. How do you create a place setting that fits your vibe, perfectly displays the culinary feast before your guests, and balances visual dimension and functionality? An experienced and passionate planner will consider and craft every detail.

🍾Focus on the details that matter to YOU first. If you don’t care who is giving a speech, then put this on the back burner and focus on what matters to you. My team will be here to make sure the less than stellar details are taken care of.

Happy New Year! I may be a day late, but sometimes rest is efficacious. I feel rested and ready to tackle the 2024 season. Although my job is the details, this year, I want to focus on the details that I think make the day that much more special. The little nods to my couple and their personality in the designs I create for them, not just the timing and planning of little moments for them on their day.

Intentionality is the word for 2024, and I am so ready to make every detail count for my couples. Here's to 2024 and my darling couples.

With new friends and faces, I thought I would share a little about myself. Rather than share a few fun facts about myself, I thought I would share three things that inspire me.

- Fashion new and old! The fabric, texture, patterns, and thoughtful construction speaks to me. I used to feel guilty, like I needed to be inspired by modern art or something, but wearable art always leaves me awestruck!

- Incredible working mamas inspire me to balance work and life. It’s possible to be an incredibly successful businesswoman and parent.

- History. I know this sounds vague, but old movies, art movements, and whole periods of history are a feast for inspiration! Can you tell I studied design and history?

Despite the projected 80 degree day we are supposed to have today, I am feeling all of the autumn feels. I want to wrap myself in a cream shrug, pick some overpriced apples, sit around a fire, and drink chai while listening to Ed Sheeran (PSL is not my bag--I try every year.).

I love when couples do their engagement photos at their wedding venue—and and was even in the same season! It gives your photos a sense of cohesion when you work with the same photographer and use the same venue. The result is a sumptuous visual treat!
