Hello everyone! We hope you’ve all enjoyed the holidays! We did . . . and now our entire family is dealing with the stomach virus that’s making its way around. I just wanted to pop on and remind you that SUMMER subscriptions will launch Friday morning right at 7 am! Set an alarm ☺️ (Summer subs are weekly, start around the second week of July and are eight weeks long).

If you ordered a (sold out) Spring Subscription as a gift and need something to print feel free to save this and use it.

Happy to report we have survived zero degree temps! Everything looks good. No nibbles from rodents. The taller plants you see will be cut back in the coming month. I didn’t want them to put energy into re-sprouting just yet.

Coyote Acres X Valentine’s Day is happening!

If you’re looking for something different and want your lady (or your man) to stand out at the office - I AM YOUR GIRL!

I will have red roses in stock because I know tradition is important to a lot of people . . . But I also know there are people out there that want * something different * and this is where we SHINE! I *really* love a garden rose with a funky center over a traditional rose. Trust me.

I will have pre-order info up by mid January. We have to be pretty ballsy and reserve all of our flowers soon. This is a rather large investment for us so please help us spread the word so not a stem is wasted 🫶🏼

Personally, I am looking so very forward to designing for you all! Stay tuned.

If you read this far, summer subscriptions will be listed on Friday, January 9th at 7 am sharp.

Showing you what it looks like to tuck in the baby plants. Once we have a low of around 20-25 degrees or less I do want what’s in here covered with this additional frost cloth. So we spend all winter covering and uncovering based on the weather. Making sure the plants have proper airflow is important or we will start to battle disease issues. We also have to check for mice and rabbits constantly.

Let’s check on plants and see if any friends have taken up residency.

Today we set additional mouse traps, put out bait, and checked for free loading four legged friends keeping warm in the frost cloth. I’m happy to report that no rodents were found and so my soul remained in my body.

It was good to see that our cold hardy annuals living in the tunnel are looking great. The snow drifted towards our tunnel which has actually helped keep the sides down in this high wind. Truth be told, the plastic probably needed replaced this year but we’re just out here livin on a prayer. I’ll add it to the 2026 to do list.

It’s been windy out in the country. Sometimes I have to FORCE myself to go look at the tunnel because I’m afraid of what I’ll find. Today was a good find, and we will take it.

Friends, can you do us a favor and hit the like button on our posts more often - or leave a comment if you’re feeling fancy? 😆 As we share more here and continue to build our brand it helps others find us. Thank you 🫶🏼

Welcome to Small Business Saturday on a flower farm in central Illinois at the end of November 😆

Usually we are still planting something up until December 1st so I am very glad we were ahead of schedule this year! I’m still not mad we ditched high priced tulips 😆

Baby plants are either tucked away under the snow letting their roots develop for strong plants this spring, or they are being babied inside that tunnel under additional frost cloth. At some point today we will have to go make sure rabbits haven’t taken shelter in there 🙃

We are in the process of finalizing the details for three weddings next summer/early fall. Having all of the information this far in advance helps us plan what to grow with your wedding in mind. It also gives me time to move around my work schedule at the hospital.

The best time for our flowers in 2026: July - late September. While we will have more flowers this May and June we are not comfortable committing to any weddings during this time (unless you simply need a bridal bouquet) as we want to get a larger spring season under our belts first.

We also do small events: baby showers, bridal showers, birthday celebrations.

We are so thankful for the nice day! We got 125 more peonies and several hundred other perennial bulbs in the ground today! I could never, ever do this without him 🖤🫶🏼💐

I wanted to take a moment and formally thank you all for not just a great (sold out) spring subscription launch, but for your support in general. As I look back at 2025, we had a great year, tons of support, got to be a part of so many special moments in your lives, and sold a lot of really beautiful flowers.

Yesterday we prepped our fields for what is (potentially) our final peony installment, got all of the dahlia tubers in storage, and worked on soil improvement. We will plant peonies next weekend when it’s not 35 degrees and windy 🫠. Peonies are always our biggest investment and when I thought about how we have another 125 to get in the ground - that would not be possible without you all. We’ve continued to grow the farm because you’ve continued to support this little idea I had one day. These peonies should out live us all and be beautiful for generations to come. How cool is that?!

I have a lot of ideas brewing for 2026. We will be growing even more next year (I haven’t told Chet yet that I need another section of the backyard, so don’t mention it 😆).

I’m hoping for a few private you pick events, arrangement classes, and I will be offering “Garden To Go Boxes” around Mother’s Day so long as seed starting is successful. So if any of you want to try your hand at growing beautiful flowers, maybe ask for a raised bed for Christmas 😉 The flowers we grow healed me in parts that I didn’t even know were broken. It’s time to share *that* joy with others.

Here are just a few of my favorite photos from this year!
