Angel City designs is honored to support their mission as the producer and designer of their annual spring gala fundraiser, the LAFH Awards.
This year the event took place on the plaza of the Pacific Design Center. Special guests included LA Mayor Karen Bass, several former Lakers and Rams and Gracie Abrams, a new Grammy nominated artist who gave a wonderful live performance.
Over 1.3M was raised to help end homelessness.
There are no such thing as normal working hours in the event design and production business as the hours and days can be long. We are typically working when other folks are playing so when we get a chance to take a break from work, we try to experience different activities and destinations for some well-deserved R & R in the great outdoors. One of our favorite activities is flyfishing. Our most recent trip was arranged through @stm_fly_fishing along with our local guides from Capitan Jose Perez and his sons, Javier and Jorge at josexcalaktours.com, to Xcalak, Mexico. This remote destination at the southernmost tip of the Yucatan, near Belize sports beautiful, pristine, and remote coastlines, clear turquoise waters, sunny days, jaguars and salt water crocs.

The attached sizzle reel features a celebration that Angel City Designs created, designed and executive produced from concept to final curtain call. STEP RIGHT UP is our theatrical tribute to the revelry, frivolity and spectacle of the Dust Bowl era traveling circus.
Traveling coast to coast, hand-painted rail cars and wagons packed with exotic animal menageries, a parade of human marvels, and, of course, a litany of side show “freaks and geeks”, toured the countryside with their wonders in one of America’s oldest theatrical traditions. Our version, showcased cutting-edge event lighting, projection and audio technology and perfected the environment utilizing scenic elements, including a collection of genuine sideshow banners and antique circus props and sets. The theatrical production numbers paired authentic costumes with modern choreography and current music tracks and showcased death defying feats of acrobatic skill.

Fox Zen Den
FOX Creative Services and Angel City Designs, collaborated to design, activate and logistically manage The Fox Zen Den, a hidden gem of peace and tranquility in the middle of the frenzy and excitement of Super Bowl Weekend. Invited guests were offered a wide variety of activities and treatments throughout each day in a very unique hospitality suite setting. Delightful scents, relaxing sounds and large format video images enabled guests to transcend into a peaceful state of mindfulness.
Boho-style lounge seating with oversized pillows, Buddha statues, zero gravity chaise lounges, and hammock swings, completed the serene setting leaving guests with a balance of well-being and relaxation during the day in preparation for the nighttime fun and frivolity. Additionally, this oasis provided a great place to recover the next morning.
