Realized it’s been a year since I have properly introduced myself on our feed 🙈

Hi, I’m Jenny and I am the owner and one of the lead wedding planners at Before the Vows! 👋🏻 I started this business almost 2 years ago and I am astounded at how much it has grown since then!

A few fun/interesting things you might not know about me:

✨ I met my now husband 8 years ago on Tinder. I was so skeptical of dating apps, but now I am the biggest believer in them!

✨ We have the sweetest rescue dog named PJ. When we adopted him, his given name was Papa John, which is where we got his name from. He is the light of our lives!

✨ My ideal evening is making dinner at home with my husband (preferably Mexican), drinking a margarita and watching any Gordon Ramsey show while snugggling our dog!

✨ People often describe me as energetic, passionate and driven. Every day is a gift and I try my very best to treat it as such! I’m so grateful I get to do what I love and call it “work” and it’s something I hope to never take for granted!

🍰 To cake or not to cake? 🍰

Lately, many of our couples have been choosing to forgo the traditional wedding cake and swap it out for a dessert bar instead.

Cake cutting has been a long standing wedding tradition. It serves as a breathtaking centerpiece that mesmerizes guests and captures Instagram worthy moments.

A dessert bar is the more trendy option of the two and entices guests with a wide array of sweets that cater to every palette. The options are endless from bite-sized macaroons to gooey chocolate brownies and warm chocolate chips cookies.

Ultimately, the decision between a dessert bar and a wedding cake boils down to personal taste, style and the overall atmosphere you want to create on your special day.
