A tasting?? Well, no, the tasting didn’t happen, but the food did! My wife’s made-from scratch meatballs, my homemade red gravy and Alfredo sauce, mixed grilled vegetables and roasted broccoli topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese! At least Denise and I had a freshly made tasty dinner!!

As you shop caterers for your big event, ask them one question - ask them if THEY actually cook their food and, if so, how far in advance do they cook for an event? Often caterers will buy pre-prepared items that are simply thawed, warmed and served. At Simple Southern Catering we begin preparing the meal for your event generally 3 days before with shopping, then prep, and finally cooking the food the day before and the day of your event.
