Our Vision

The Redbud is an old church building located in the Ridgedale neighborhood of Chattanooga, TN. In its nearly 100 years, the church has been used as a congregational meeting place, a glass and mirror showroom, and ultimately a storage space filled with 20th century relics. In 2017, we purchased the neglected property "as-is" and quickly began clearing and preparing the property for restoration. Major renovations are underway inside and out while the usable spaces are currently functioning as a rehearsal and recording space for several local bands.

Our vision for The Redbud combines Brent’s passion for music, Maggie’s love of gardening, and a shared excitement for bringing people together. The Redbud will be a gathering place for music and events that can host anything from a small yoga class to a wedding with hundreds of guests. The venue will include a recording studio and several scalable stages designed to support the growing, local music and art scene. We’re surrounding the building with large native gardens that help our pollinators and educate the public. Being independently owned and operated, we hope to give our customers a comfortable and accommodating experience in a historic building with modern updates. The Redbud boasts ample parking and easy access from downtown and surrounding areas, making it an ideal choice for those looking for a versatile local venue with historic charm.
