It is With Great Pride, Joy, Love and some sadness we celebrated Adrianne’s 6 years at Fox and Fern. She is embarking on a new journey and career path. Sadly she will no longer be a daily part of the Fox and Fern shop (she will be back for some events, we know she can’t resist the flowers 😆) I wanted to personally say that it is very rare that you find someone with the integrity, loyalty and dedication of Adrianne. Being a small business owner it can be really hard to lead, manage and take care of employees. It can be hard to draw boundaries because everyone spends so much time together. Adrianne and I always respected each other’s boundaries while being very candid and honest. Adrianne taught me how to lead with fairness and how to create an environment that makes people feel welcome and safe. She was my second brain, reminding me about my meetings, details about a clients order and to remember my own keys. Adrianne was able to navigate the challenging times of high stress and know when I was overwhelmed and how to make me feel understood. This business wouldn’t not be where it is without her! I read somewhere-
In prosperity our friends know us; in adversity we know our friends- Adrianne and I endured a lot of adversity and came out on the other side stronger than ever. I am happy to now call her one of my best friends. Thank you for everything Adrianne. If you see some watery eyes around the west village just know that I miss her - and I jammed the printer, I lost all the floral card plastic trident thingys and I can’t find my keys/phone. A toast to delirious laughter, 90s music, sore feet, too much caffeine, rose thorns and the flowers, Once a florist, always a florist.
