Reminder!

Change Of Plans For Holiday Week!

After reviewing past years, life changing since I have a family now and discussions on what's really important, I have decided that our STOREFRONT will be open limited hours next week.

Before you think I am bad business owner, please know that I am never truly closed! Being small town and local, that means that it's not very often I say no to an order and I definably wont tell you that I cant help if your family has a funeral, but I also want to spend more time with my family and my employees deserve that too! I appreciate EVERY order and EVERY customer and I also appreciate ALL of the support you have given me over the past 7 years, especially since having a baby in December!

Last week and this week are HARD in the floral business. Mother’s Day is the largest holiday in my industry and while it may sound like I’m complaining, I’m not. This weeks makes it so we can stay open the other 51 weeks of the year so I’m not complaining, I’m just stating the fact that it’s hard.

My friends were the best and helped me Saturday and Sunday because I was feeling very behind. Then today my crew ROCKED and while currently sitting in my car with no shoes on cause my feet hurt bad, I know I’m going to work tomorrow ahead of schedule!

Walking out of work, I grabbed the mail because that’s how busy we were, no time to even get the mail. In the mailbox was a card in a bright orange envelope. I didn’t know the address it was coming from but it had my name so I opened it. This is what I read… (blocked out names for others privacy).

Cards like this is what keeps us small business owners going on the hard days like today when we are dog tired but still have a meeting for a volunteer group tonight so we keep going… when we are away from our baby for over 10 hours… when we really wonder if all of the stress and tiredness is worth it… this is what keeps us going!

Thank you to this customer for the card! Cards aren’t sent enough now and I hope to remember that and add them into my life! This meant the world to me tonight and gave me the little push I needed to keep going!

Small businesses aren’t easy, but customers like this make it all worth it!
