Did yall hear about this story. A young man 21 years old, Javion Magee was found hanging from a tree in September 11th in Vance County, right outside of Henderson, North Carolina. The police told the family he bought a rope from Walmart and hung himself. They won’t let the family see his body due to Covid, nor would they let them see pictures of the body .
Due to numerous TikTok videos spreading awareness about this tragedy, the Vance county Sheriff department finally spoke out.
Vance County sheriff Curtis R. Brame gives an update on the Javion Magee case. Javion Magee, a 21-year-old truck driver from the Chicago area, was found dead in a rural area off Vanco Mill Road on Sept. 11. Investigators said he was not far from his truck, leaning with his back up against a tree and a rope around his neck. There are unconfirmed reports that he may have a had a photo of a young woman in his hand when he was found.
Brame told news outlets that there were no Ound signs of foul play in Magee's death, but said Magee's body has been sent to the medicalon examiner for an autopsy to officially determine the cause of death.
Brame also said the State Bureau of Investigation is now part of the case.
