A few years ago I did a thing… to be honest I just needed to feel like me again. I got married at the young age of 22 and through some heart ache, his cancer, caretaking, having babies, depression, relocation and just the rest of what life brings our marriage ended. It was devastating. After that a wonderful thing happened and I was blessed with a sweet man who treated me with respect and unconditional love, he loved my kids and I found myself in the middle of a unconventional love story my heart would not let me deny. We married after a few years of dating surrounded by our community, 350 of you! A short 8 months into our marriage and my boys lost their father to his cancer that had returned with a vengeance, he was 37. Grief struck. Life felt Dark and bright all at the same time. I was pregnant. I was excited and I was sad for my boys, it was a lot. We had a beautiful baby girl, we moved into a beautiful home we had worked really hard to purchase. Postpartum depression hit, Covid hit, teen years hit and man life felt heavy! We decided to take the kids to CA the winter of 2021. We stayed with a close friend. We spent 21 days as a family in the middle of winter on the beaches of CA. Literally the best thing I have ever done! My close friend had the idea… “start a luxury picnic business”. I had no idea what that even was! I had detached from social media in 2019… Well that got me back on! I could not believe the cool things that people were doing! I came home and in 2022 started Chelan Shindigs! With a tent, a vision and lots of support from our community. Since then things have changed a lot! I started booking small weddings with brides and before I knew it there was a shift. The tent was packed up and I found myself enamored with the wedding world. I still am trying to figure out what it is that just makes me so darn happy serving brides! I think it’s woven into the fabric of my story, “Love conquers all!” Now Booking for 2025 and offering affordable coordination packages, floral packages, balloons & more! I share this with you because it is my story and it is deeply rooted to my why. It brings me great joy to serve and celebrate with you!

Just had my 15th wedding rehearsal of the season. Excited for tomorrow’s wedding! Two more on the books and then I think it’s time to plan for next year. Our youngest turns 6 today! She is artistic, funny, strong willed and a tad bit quirky. She loves stuffed animals, friends and to be in charge. She wants to be a teacher and loves to travel (especially in a hotel). She likes to bake, wants to learn to sew and recently started cheer leading class! Happy birthday Xena Pena🥳🥳🥳

Beautiful table scape for a bachelorette dinner. Very fun way to end a weekend of celebrating the bride to be! Not only did they sit at a lovely table but they were served a private dinner by Chef ! Love this idea 🥳🫶👰

Time for a new look! As our 3rd season comes to an end we have found some direction and clarity. Chelan Shindigs will be shifting focus in 2025 a bit. Brides, Blooms and Balloons will be our 3 goals heading into 2025. So if you need wedding coordination, small event/wedding flowers or balloons for anything please keep us in mind! We will still offer house arrival setups as well as party setups, especially when balloons and or blooms are involved! We are super excited to stream line a bit and feel like this will add to the quality of our work. Thank you for all of your support🫶🥳🎈💐👰
