A few years ago I did a thing… to be honest I just needed to feel like me again. I got married at the young age of 22 and through some heart ache, his cancer, caretaking, having babies, depression, relocation and just the rest of what life brings our marriage ended. It was devastating. After that a wonderful thing happened and I was blessed with a sweet man who treated me with respect and unconditional love, he loved my kids and I found myself in the middle of a unconventional love story my heart would not let me deny. We married after a few years of dating surrounded by our community, 350 of you! A short 8 months into our marriage and my boys lost their father to his cancer that had returned with a vengeance, he was 37. Grief struck. Life felt Dark and bright all at the same time. I was pregnant. I was excited and I was sad for my boys, it was a lot. We had a beautiful baby girl, we moved into a beautiful home we had worked really hard to purchase. Postpartum depression hit, Covid hit, teen years hit and man life felt heavy! We decided to take the kids to CA the winter of 2021. We stayed with a close friend. We spent 21 days as a family in the middle of winter on the beaches of CA. Literally the best thing I have ever done! My close friend had the idea… “start a luxury picnic business”. I had no idea what that even was! I had detached from social media in 2019… Well that got me back on! I could not believe the cool things that people were doing! I came home and in 2022 started Chelan Shindigs! With a tent, a vision and lots of support from our community. Since then things have changed a lot! I started booking small weddings with brides and before I knew it there was a shift. The tent was packed up and I found myself enamored with the wedding world. I still am trying to figure out what it is that just makes me so darn happy serving brides! I think it’s woven into the fabric of my story, “Love conquers all!” Now Booking for 2025 and offering affordable coordination packages, floral packages, balloons & more! I share this with you because it is my story and it is deeply rooted to my why. It brings me great joy to serve and celebrate with you!
