Sharing some wedding bouquets throughout the season, early spring to late fall. Spring remains my favorite season, we really need those bright flowers after a long gray winter in New England! Yet each season brings its own perfect and magical flowers.

I design wedding bouquets to reflect each bride’s personality, make her bouquet dreams come true, and use the freshest seasonal flowers. Adding my homegrown flowers and foliage adds some of nature’s whimsy too. Please share this with your friends who are getting married. Enjoy the holidays season!

I’ve got two floral workshops in December at New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill in Bolton MA. The first workshop on December 6th is part of NEBG’s “Craft-mas” series, and it includes a craft element in addition to floral arranging. On December 13, we’re making an oval centerpiece, perfect for table or mantle. For this workshop, you can choose a red/green palette or a white/blue palette.

The photos shown are examples of prior workshop florals. We’ll be working with gorgeous flowers and textural foliage purchased from the Boston Flower Exchange a few days before the workshops. Come enjoy some creative mindfulness and make something pretty!

Not every bride wants a giant bouquet. Some brides prefer a more contained, modest bouquet, full of the most delicious flowers. Here we have a variety of dahlias, Cafe Latte roses, ranunculus, Linette mums, Japanese anemone, and a touch of astilbe and delphinium for textural interest. It was a pleasure to create this bouquet for O!

This is a Rising Form design entered in the recent Ikebana Flower Exhibit at (October 24-26), put on by the Ikebana International Boston Chapter. I’m no Ikebana pro, but I’m catching on! Lines, form, color, intent, feeling, and LOTS of editing. I

Ingredients: Nerine lilies, Seven Sons shrub flowers, Carolina Sapphire Cypress, Pieris Andromeda, and blueberry shrub leaves.
