I am deep in World Religion and Theology studies..one of my favorite areas of study...I find religions so interesting and love knowing and immersing all I can in them.

I came across this great quote from an equally great book.
This fact swirled in my head for days before I decided to dig deeper.

Fascinating!!!

A little more info about the Venus of Willendorf.
Unearthed in 1908, the Venus of Willendorf is a 25,000-year-old figurine discovered in Austria. This mysterious Paleolithic sculpture is believed to be a fertility goddess, but its exact purpose remains debated.

Reiki does not heal...it allows healing.
It's a channel to open and align energy flow ... magic happens when energy flows!

One of the most wonderful things about reiki is the more I practice and strengthen the flow through my being as a channel... the stronger it becomes.
It would be impossible to channel a healing light without absorbing a bit myself each time.

I feel better every day!!

This is in big part to daily self reiki, but
I'm also noticing a big difference since working on distance reiki every night.

Thank you so much to the people who have contacted and trusted me to help us both grow.

It has been amazing!

Currently in a huge phase of growth and learning. I am sooo hungry for knowledge and am absorbing everything I can.
One of the many goals Ive had for myself was to reach level 4 reiki master /teacher.

I did it!! And also completed training in crystal reiki... which is freaking awesome!!

It feels like something I've been doing for years just need a few key elements to fully understand and attune.

I would go so far as to say I am addicted to reiki...I can barely go 10 mind without doing it on myself, an animal or a distance attunement.

Pooka and Rory have been great study buddies I'm everything I'm delving into...from the wee hours of the morning to middle of night, studying by candlelight 🐾

Happy World Meditation Day.

I want to strongly recommend guided meditation for anyone just getting started or having trouble getting into it.
Guided meditations can be so wonderful....and can become a bit addictive too.

Consider them a great tool in your meditation tool bag but not the reliant conduit .

There is no right or wrong . I have shrugged off many a communication or meditation message thinking " I couldn't possibly be meditating- I'm gardening or baking....must just be a wandering mind."
Only to discover later that those are some of my favorite meditation times.

Today we visited one of my favorite places in Spokane and my favorite holiday tradition. The Spokane Hobbit House and their Xmas ornament exchange.

I left a dalek and a cyberman on the fence and took the holy grail of ornaments : Legolas!!

I AM SO EXCITED!

Thank you so much to the lovely magicmakers behind this incredible place!

How long do glitter tattoos last??

Everyone is different. Different parts of the body will last longer than others.

The average is 3-7 days.

I put a tattoo on my mechanic husband. Showering everyday, washing hands a lot, work his arms down into cars and the rubbing of a hoodie....

This tattoo still has sparkle after a week!

This guy has absolutely changed the way I view food. Scroll his videos...get lost in them....reprogram your mind from them....they are hilarious and very thoughtful provoking!! Growing up and throughout adulthood " good " and " bad" foods were always in the forefront of my life...behind every food choice. Even when I made the de vision to stop using the words " good" and " bad " in my life. I never went as far as to take them away from describing food?!?

As funny,( because it's true) as this is. I have chosen not to do yoga before because I don't want to get in " the clothes". I like dropping and doing yoga when I feel like it : dress, skirt, Jean shorts....whatever. But I actually convinced myself that was " wrong" that I'd have a better experience if I wore stretchy clothes, etc. But I hate changing once I'm ready for the day....and yo have good yoga....I need to change into the clothes....so let's skip yoga...ugh! Yes, i have tried putting on yoga clothes first ....I still don't like changing. I like one outfit for the day. I've tried just wearing yoga gear all day and that wasn't my thing. What is my thing? Dropping and doing yoga in whatever I'm wearing at the moment....there doesn't even have to be a mat involved...those things are not what yoga is about!

Currently in the middle of some mythology studies. I ended up enjoying Egyptian Mythology so much, I hung around awhile. I am particularly drawn to Mother Nut and Father Geb. One of my favorite online yoga teachers uses the terms: Father Geb and Mother Nut instead of Upward and Downward Dog and I never fully understood until now. I like it! Nut: The Sky Goddess * Celestial embodiment: Nut personifies the sky, depicted as a vast arching nude woman adorned with stars. * Myth of Creation: She plays a central role in the creation story. Nut, locked in an embrace with her brother/husband Geb (the earth god), gives birth to the gods Osiris, Isis, Set, and Nephthys. * Protector of the Dead: Nut is also linked to the afterlife. Egyptians believed she swallowed the sun each night and birthed it anew each morning, symbolizing rebirth and the cyclical nature of life. Geb: The Earth God * Earthly embodiment: Geb represents the earth itself, often illustrated as a reclining male figure. * An Unconventional Marriage: Their close familial relationship (siblings and spouses) was seen as a source of chaos. The air god Shu was forced to separate them, creating the physical separation of the sky and earth. * Fertility and Abundance: Geb is associated with the earth's bounty and fertility.
