1️⃣ Most of the high tunnel crops made it through the last couple of weeks! ❄️🥶🌨

2️⃣ Today, 👩‍🌾 Farmer Shelby was able to harvest & wash produce. We stocked the following at Seventh & Vine, 115 N Main,
🌿 Peashooter Microgreens
🥗 Salad Greens
🍠 Sweet Potatoes

3️⃣ SUNSHINE, IT IS SO DANG GORGEOUS OUTSIDE RIGHT NOW!! 🌞🎉☀️

4️⃣ Yoga in greenhouse was a for 👩‍🌾 Farmer Shelby. It put some extra 🌟shine🌟 in her eye & pep in her step on this Monday. 💃

🧘‍♀️ Break time!! . . . From today's spring cleaning and preparation for tomorrow's yoga 🧘‍♂️ in greenhouse class.

🌞 It is a GORGEOUS, sunny, 83 degrees in the greenhouse at 11:30 AM today.

Perfect for barefoot work 👣 and warming up after the past week of winter ❄️🥶

At Dear Neighbor Ministries, our pantry is open Monday–Thursday, providing food to help alleviate hunger in our community. We rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and advocates to keep our doors open and our shelves stocked.

We are off! ✈️🎒👜
The Anchor Farm Family is on vacation, soaking up the 🌞SUN🌞 and enjoying the beauty of the desert 🏜

We are excited to spend time with family, stimulate a different local economy, and explore Arizona for a week. 🎉🥳

And of course! We plan to find some local farmers while we are there! 🤩😍

👀 OBSERVATION!
It's one of our most important tools!
And budget friendly as well! 🎉

Here are some of the 🛑signs🛑 that
👩‍🌾Farmer Shelby noticed this week 🤩

🪲 A robust number of aphids on the kale & tatosi plants in the high tunnel
🐞 The army of lady bugs that came out to feast on those pesky aphids 💪
🌡A steaming compost pile ♨️
🦉 A new resident owl prowling the pasture on a daily basis
🐦‍⬛ Black birds & finches galore, also feasting out in the pasture. Some even spend time in the high tunnels when we open it up during the day.
🐇 Cotton tails AND jack rabbits across the farm
🌾 The residue from both the annual & perennial crops continues to cycle into the soil ecosystem at an ever increasing rate 🔄

🪱 Dan owns and operates worm farm in . Dan's worms & worm castings are part of the reason we can produce nutrient dense food for ourselves and our community. Worms continue to be an invaluable tool at Anchor Farm. We use them to support the health of the soil AND the ecosystem. We are grateful for Dan and FedNHappy.
