Meet the Artist—
Jennifer Augspurger
As a child I was always drawn to music, I’d sing from dusk till dawn, and would often make up songs about any and everything. You wouldn’t ever find me reading a book, it was only songs I could hear in my head. I dreamt often about how amazing it would be to be a big star and hear my songs on the radio, there was just a few things missing, my confidence and my lack of playing any instrument, not to mention the echo of lies stuck in my head saying I’ll never be good enough or keep dreaming, or you can’t even sing, all things I heard growing up. As I grew older that dream faded more and more and I began losing sight of who I was and what I was searching for in life. I always had this desire deep within me to sing and write; for me it was a way to express both joy and sorrow. As I grew older I became too close a friend with brokeness, sorrow, addiction and suffering. It didn’t take long for my searching to begin, the courage and confidence I was chasing, I found in a bottle. I became attached to that quick fix and before I knew it, it became the only way I could socialize, sing or even have a good time. The woman I wanted to be had faded away. But—by the grace of God alone, shortly before I hit a rock bottom I purchased myself a guitar and started learning to play. A few months after that I found myself sitting in a church pew, my heart was broken, I was a mess and I had no clue what I was doing. I hated who had become and wanted out, and the Lord heard that cry. As I watched the band play and sing something in me sparked, a light of mercy perhaps, God showing me “you can do this” but MY way. That still small voice was so loud, I couldn’t deny it. Everyday since then he has been showing me my worth and His love—beyond human understanding, and that confidence in Christ is far greater than confidence in anything this world has to offer. My dream may look different than I imagined, lacking fame, fortune, and songs on the radio, but I’ve found my place and purpose and that’s all I needed.

Today my music reflects my brokeness, the hope I found in it, but also the freedom and joy that He alone provides.

The season is coming to an end and it’s been incredible, I’m looking forward to next summer! Thank you to everyone who has supported my dream and this journey.
We are having one last event here at the farm this coming Saturday, Sept 21st from 5-7pm(blooms & tunes) to end the season praising God, who makes all things possible.

Isaiah 40:8 “The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

Hello followers, maybe you have noticed I didn’t post open hours this week, the extreme temps have been hard on the flowers as have the bugs 🐛🪲🦟. So this week I am letting them be and praying for a turn around. I’m hoping to be open this Saturday morning from 7-10am, I will keep you posted—weather permitting. Have a great week, stay cool! 😎
