A special thank you to my cousins that contributed to my successful home made custard. I shall never make Nana Pidding with instant pudding again. The first two times were awful...but after a few tries, a few cries, and talking to myself....while channeling my Aunts & Grandma's I have succeeded.

Guess who's going to be at Old Timers Jubilee on Saturday October 21st?!?!

Yep!! You guessed it!!

Angel's Heart Catering LLC & Lady May's Cafe Food Truck will be on Main Street ready to serve you all some delicious fish, chicken wings, and delectable desserts!!

Since I'm traveling I'm not going to make a commitment to open on Friday bc the last time I attempted to open, it rained & stormed all the way down 58 and it took me almost six hours to get to Gretna from Chesapeake!

I don't like making schedules that I can't adhere to as it looks very bad on my business. We aim to operate in decency and in order.

A post will be made on FB & IG on Friday October 20th once Lady May's Cafe arrives and we'll accommodate those that would like to order.

As always, thank you Gretna for your continued support and we're aways open to menu suggestions!!

Before inquiring about booking
Lady May's Cafe Food Truck for catering or for events, Please Note:

We travel from Chesapeake VA to participate in events. In town events have a $1000 - $1,500 MINIMUM to book depending on location & the number of guests we're serving.

Out of Town Bookings are charged a travel fee for events 30 miles outside of Chesapeake. Minimum Travel Fee is $500.

We spend $500 - $600 on fuel alone when towing almost 5 TONS!!

(Propane $100, Vehicle Gas $80 - $100 Each Fill -Up, & $50 Generator)

Plus lodging, which is two to three rooms depending on staffing.

Plus the cost of food & payroll!!

So when we're traveling outside of our home area it costs $2000 - $2500 upfront and many times we barely break even.

We also consider weather, how many food trucks are on-site, as we try to offer different options, number of patrons, which usually varies, as well.

We enjoy traveling and participating in these larger events but sometimes it's not profitable for Lady May's Cafe to pull up.

We've been told there would be 1000s in attendance and barely 500 show up but the event has 10 food trucks...

Therefore we have to put minimums in place to cover our expenses. You will NOT find anyone that will bring you delicious food & drinks that one has taken the time to hand prepare, slow simmer, smoke, roast, fry, mix, bake, cut, slice, chop, package & pack up, lift, carry, set up, & serve you for less than $25-$30 per person!
Now yes, we do have exceptions...

Schools, Hospitals, Charity Events, Etc... are given exceptions as we try to give back and support as much as we can.

We are soooo thankful for the support you've given us thus far!! AHC & LMC wouldn't be where we are today without our loyal customers & the support from our communities.
