Dan Marino idolized Terry Bradshaw as a kid growing up in Pittsburgh. He dreamed of someday playing quarterback for the Steelers. It could have happened. In 1983, the Steelers had the opportunity to draft Marino. Bradshaw was in his final season in 1983, and the Steelers needed a young quarterback. However, Marino kept falling in the draft due to rumors of drug use and excessive partying at the University of Pittsburgh.

The Steelers had the 21st pick and Marino was available. The Steelers chose Texas Tech defensive lineman Gabe Rivera. Marino would slip all the way down to the 27th pick, where he was selected by the Dolphins. Gabe Rivera would suffer serious injuries from a car accident and was paralyzed.

Marino would shatter virtually all of the NFL's passing records during a brilliant 17-year career with the Miami Dolphins. From 1983 to 1999, Marino threw for 61,361 yards and 420 touchdown passes. He was selected to the Pro Bowl 9 times and was named the NFL's Most Valuable Player in 1984.

This will probably be my last post on here. As you know we have CLOSED our business in Chester . We just wanted to thank all of our dedicated customers , family and friends for the last 8 years. Although this wasn’t in our plans, and out of our control , we enjoyed our run …. We are so grateful and appreciate it …..Keep us in your thoughts and prayers as we navigate through this rough time ……I want to thank everyone who helped us move and pack , especially my grandson Gregory Peters and Tyler Martin for all of your help boys …..and also my SIL Bernie Wiley……Rich and Mecca, Chrissy,Shannon and Bobo , we love you all ….

Just made these incredible Crab Rangoon Egg Rolls! 🦀🌟 Crunchy on the outside with a creamy, savory crab filling. Perfect for your next party or a special treat! Dive in while they're hot! 🍽️

Ingredients:
2 boxes (8 ounces each) softened cream cheese
1–2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce (adjust to taste)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
3 green onions, chopped
1/2 pound freshly cooked white crab meat, flaked or diced
8–10 egg roll wrappers
Vegetable oil for frying
Instructions:
Prepare the Filling: In a food processor, combine cream cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and green onions. Pulse until the mixture is well blended. Transfer to a bowl and stir in the crab meat gently to keep the texture.

Wrap the Rolls: Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with a corner pointing towards you. Spoon about three rounded tablespoons of the crab mixture into the center, forming a short horizontal lump. Fold the bottom corner over the filling, then fold in the sides. Roll tightly towards the top corner. Use a dab of water to seal the tip of the wrapper.

Fry the Egg Rolls: Heat oil in a heavy stockpot or deep saucepan to 375°F (use a candy thermometer to monitor). Fry the egg rolls in batches, 2-3 at a time, for 1-2 minutes each or until golden brown and crispy. Be sure to allow the oil to return to temperature between batches.

Drain and Serve: Drain the fried egg rolls on paper towels. Serve warm for the best flavor.
