👰 Yesterday I sent out all of the emails and Google meet links to everyone that booked a discovery call at the NWI Bridal Expo at the Porter County expo center. 🤵‍♂️

🤓 Today, I am sending out the welcome emails to all of the beautiful couples that came through the expo on Sunday. 🥳

I am so thrilled to meet everyone and get to know everyone while we plan and execute your dream wedding.💒

Had so much fun with Chris (my hubby, if you’re new here) creating a real. It’s so cute for him to be involved. He had an idea and we rolled with it.

Let’s give it up to the vendor team once again!

We brought in the 5- tier gold shelf from for the perfect welcome cocktail area. The white table linens softened the space and helped make the red velvet runners come alive. Guests also cozied up on the green velvet couch and gold coffee table in the lounge area.

had everyone smiling with their Photobooth props.

Popped in the perfect popcorn cart!

Pulled the cohesion of the design together with the perfect Welcome sign and tent cards.

Of course provided the perfect industrial event space and delicious beverages, food and desserts.

Would anybody really notice all of these little details? OF COURSE they do!

Those details make the event feel that much more special. It makes the guests feel special! “I have something special on my plate and my name looks really special on these name card. I’m excited to be here and I feel special.”

I think it makes people excited. I know I get very excited about all of those special details which is why I guess we are Sugar on the Rim Events. We love the details!

I am so incredibly proud of the way that this event turned out. Event spaces can be either easy to design or can be a challenge design.

Sometimes I’m faced with odd colored carpeting or outdated wallpaper or ugly chandeliers. This one didn’t have any of that this one just had concrete, hard concrete, steel beams, and concrete. The windows are gorgeous and they give a lot of light into the space, but most events happen in the evening, so the windows almost become obsolete, but it was a challenge I was accepting. I didn’t really have much choice anyways and I can say that I’m proud.

I am proud of the way this event turned out. I am proud of the way that my body wakes me up at 3 AM and tells me to do this and then I listen. Because if I would’ve just left certain spaces the way that they were this space would not been as beautiful as it is, I can probably assume that many of those people in that room that evening didn’t even know the things I was covering up. My client might not have even have known some of the things that I was covering up, but that’s my job.

My job is to plan & design a beautiful and successful event and well I nailed it.

When I tell you that this space needs a reveal it needs a reveal. I was almost shocked when I walked into this event space because truly the name says it all. This is the Factory Floor of Journeyman’s Valpo location. And when I see the space was not giving. It is NOT giving. There is not a whole lot to the space. Aesthetically it had some good bones. Those windows can’t be beat. They’re gorgeous and I’m telling you that was about it. There was some natural brick in this space, but honestly, you’re not gonna see it because it’s hidden back behind the stills. There is some awesome old industrial lighting in the space but then there’s also these hard cold blue lights, but they are bright. And as you can see the beams are exposed and they’re not great. There’s a lot of pipe work. There’s a lot of industrial mess going on here and to say it was a challenge is an understatement. But here is the before. I can tell you that we nailed it so stay tuned because I’m about to drop one of the best Christmas parties. I have done yet.
