In fluent Farsi, English or German, she will create a ceremony that embodies and conveys your authentic unity. Mahin's wish is to conduct your ceremony with respect, grace and yes, even a dash of fun. She has a deep passion for Persian literature, poetry, and history which gives her the ability to communicate the important wedding rituals of the Persian wedding ceremony regardless of religious denominations. As a modern wedding officiant, her ceremonies are perfectly suited for couples who prefer a ceremony conducted for eclectic and diverse audience. She understands that some couples like their ceremony to be short and sweet, while others prefer a long and detailed one. Some desire a ceremony conducted in all Farsi, and others in English as well. Many couples are traditional, whereas others favor a new contemporary style. Romantic couples like to include verses of poetry while others have their own rituals. No matter what your preferences are, Mahin will work with you and help you create a beautiful moment in time that will forever last in your memories. I am willing to work with you and be as hands on as you like. I will offer suggestions and exchange ideas with you until we find exactly what you are looking for. I congratulate you on your engagement and hope to be part of your union. BIOGRAPHY:

Mahin Huschmand was born in Tehran, Iran and received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Archeology and Art from the University of Tehran. For 15 years, Mahin served for the Protocol of the Imperial Court of Iran and her last position was Vice General Director of the Secretariat of the Imperial Court. She has been decorated by several head of states, presidents as well as the former King of Iran. She was also honored to receive the decoration of “Tadj Grade 4” from her homeland. In 1979 she immigrated to Germany and eventually to Washington DC in 1990 where she has resided ever since. During this time, she has arranged more than 50 painting exhibitions for different artists and has operated her own beauty business. Mahin is married to Engineer Parviz Huschmand and just recently celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary. They have two children, Sogol and Iman as well as two grand children, Dorsa and Parsa. It is due to these 50 years of happy marriage that Mahin has decided to invest her time to officiate marriages in the hopes that her good fortune can be transferred on to the younger generation of couples in love, who have decided to make an oath to marry each other until death does them part.
