You know what keeps the people going all day? Carbs!

As a toddler mom I can attest that a secret stash of gold fish can be a game changer.

Your wedding day is not the day to skip a meal. You’re going to likely be up super early and partying through the night- make a plan to have a great breakfast while you’re with the glam team. We love a spread of bagels, muffins, pastries, fruit, mimosas, and of course a full coffee order!

Bonus tip- plan and pack some to-go snacks to keep on hand for the bus while you go for photos. A cooler full of nooners are great, but a breakfast bar will also go a long way!

Every single detail of Sam and David’s wedding was my favorite. The venue the catering team and in particular the amazing cake by floral by photos by the whole day was perfection.

No day was more vibrant and filled with love for the coolest babes I know xo

Hey all!!

Stephanie here. I cannot believe it’s already 2025!! I am beyond excited for the events that we have lined up for this year. I have spent the last month revitalizing our internal processes, streamlining forms and resources to make our client experiences even more organized, and honing in on what I want out of my business this year.

& while it’s no secret that I am paying close attention to what the current American political administration looks like a wonderful professor of mine used to say, worry isn’t work. Truthfully I can’t roll up my sleeves if I’m wringing my hands.

So I’m here to do what I can with my business, and one step is to promote and put $$ in the pockets of businesses and people that I want to amplify. Happy one year anniversary to these amazing people! Nichole and Clay could not be sweeter and compliment each other so beautifully as a couple. Their celebration was intimate, personal, romantic, filled with so much love, and featured me dropping some beats! Ok, to be fair I was pressing play on a laptop to a Spotify playlist that they cultivated but still, mad DJ skills were on display 🤣

Straight out of a magazine!! It was such a pleasure planning with Scarlett and Morrigan for their beautiful wedding celebration. We had delish apps, a cart full of munchies, late night pizza- a fairy POTmother, out of this world decor and florals, and two truly special people to bring it all together for! I am beyond thankful for the incredible stories we have been a part of this year. I cannot thank my couples enough for letting me be a part of their journey. I always tell them that wedding planning should be fun, and with a group like this it truly was. Thank you for being authentic, wonderful, lovable, kind, genuine people- the whole lot of you are amazing and I love you all.

To Stef, Cate, Zach and the people that have stepped up for me throughout this insane growth period- I would have never been able to do this year without you. I can only pay you back in more successes and espresso martinis moving forward xo

To the venues that have opened their home for me and my team this year- some of you so often that my GPS recognizes you as work locations (true story, 1840 W. Hubbard)- thank you for trusting Shh Events to take care of your space and bring them to life. We love playing with you, my offices always have the best views.

+ as a former catering chick, and since it's a day to celebrate food and abundance, I have to shout out the talented teams I have worked with this year in food + bev. Catering- from the chefs to the servers, are the backbone of the hospitality and events industry. They are often the first at the venue setting up and the last to close out the night with us. They are taking care of your guests from the moment they hold open the door to the last glass of champagne is poured. I truly love my catering partners. I am so grateful to have a few that I work with often enough to not only consider colleagues but friends.

There are SO MANY photographers and videographers and florists and bakers and DJs and bands and bus drivers and hair stylists and makeup artists and church organizers and liquor delivery drivers and linen companies and rental companies and county clerk office workers and officiants and pizza places and late night bars to thank too. I love you all so much. You make this industry everything wonderful that it is.

I love making events. I am so thankful that this is how I get to spend my days.

One year down and forever to go! Ashley and Sam were the epitome of class and intentionality. From hand written letters to their guests to the most incredible guest book filled with pictures of their relationship and their friends and family year book style. Being a part of their planning and wedding day was such an honor. They are kind and cool. They care deeply about each others happiness and honor one another immensely. Happy one year anniversary, and many more to come!!

The best part about this job is that I get to be reminded week in and week out just how wonderful love is. It brings communities together, it’s joyful, and personal, and fun. It brings out the best in people.

After long weekends soaking everything up with couples, I come home and squeeze all of that love out onto Brian. I really could not have dreamed up this beautiful life we have created.

Brian, thank you for matching my weird (and for often topping it). Thank you for being a nerd with me, and having the same comfort shows, and for laughing with and often at me. Thank you for keeping our life light and easy. Thank you for playing Christmas music in July and for learning how to make my coffee. Thank you for choosing our life together, and thank you for continuing to be my best friend.
