RIP Willie Howard Mays Jr. (May 6, 1931 – June 18, 2024).

Nicknamed “the Say Hey Kid”, he was a professional baseball center fielder. Regarded as one of the greatest players ever, Mays ranks second behind only Babe Ruth on most all-time lists, including those of The Sporting News and ESPN. Mays passed away at the age of 93 of heart failure, in a care home in Palo Alto, California. Condolences to the friends and family of this sports legend icon.🙏🏽

Hi family and friends. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the top 10 of the Favorite Chef competition. I placed 11th in my group. Despite that, it was an incredible experience to be chosen to participate in this year’s competition. I am truly grateful for everyone’s support and votes in this year’s competition. Your participation helps James Beard Foundation in their mission to create a more equitable and sustainable future for the restaurant industry. I’ll try it again next year if the Lord’s willing 🙏🏽
