The Staffing Manager is dedicated to ensuring J&L events are fully staffed to ensure the clients’ vision is a success. The Staffing Manager sources, coordinates, and maintains a pool of professional, qualified candidates through the use of outside contractors, third party agencies, and employees. This position handles the logistics of vehicle use for transporting food and materials to and from events. The Staffing Manager position requires an individual who is highly organized and proactive. This position requires an individual who is able to remain calm and focused, providing solutions to problems in a tense, chaotic environment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Works closely with Event Planners, Chefs, Senior Captains, and Department Managers to foster and develop business relationships based on integrity, trust, communication, professionalism, and teamwork.
Communicates, models and upholds J&L policies in a positive manner.
Ensures new initiatives, systems or policies are followed.
Utilize CaterXpert as the scheduling tool for events and a communication tool for everyone involved
Maintains CaterXpert database to be accurate with active staff information
Plans in advance for seasonality and business needs
Performs scheduling functions on a monthly, weekly, daily basis for events including booking service, culinary, operations, and vehicle needs through CaterXpert and the use of third parties such as rental companies and staffing agencies.
Performs post event follow up within 3 business days using CaterXpert. Reconciles actual staff hours vs booked, verifies third party agencies billing is correct, and receives feedback from planners.
Observe staff on-site to determine the quality of ex*****on, prepare and implement improvement plans as necessary.
Adheres to all local, state, and federal regulations and company policies.
