Mavis Staples - a Chicago icon who has shaped music both in this town and across America. Where would we be without her? We’ve been lucky enough to host her across many 16 On Center venues over the years, becoming a part of her history that is now 85 years in the making - and what an incredibly 85 years they’ve been! On December 6, Jam & 16 On Center present the 93XRT Fall Jam Series, The Mavis Staples 85th Hometown Birthday Celebration at The Auditorium with special guests Jackson Browne and Margo Price. We can’t wait to see you there to honor Mavis as the legend she is! Tickets go on sale September 13 at 10am CT.

The crew is headed down to Austin this year for a very special unofficial SXSW showcase at on March 13! With heavy hitters like , , and , this one is gonna be something you do not want to miss if you’re in Austin for the festivities.

Today we welcomed therapy dogs from Rainbow Animal Assisted Therapy to the 16 on Center office! Chase and Momo, and their human handlers met with our staff for an hour of midday stress-relief.

It was a big week last week for the 16oC venue team, welcoming one of the great talents of our time, , to our spaces throughout the city with nights at , , and Garfield Park Conservatory with Presents. They were memorable nights across the board, with each evening bringing something a little different to supplement the genius of André 3000.

Thank you to everyone who came out and to the 16oC music team across the board for making it happen!

is hosting an evening of music benefitting Girls Rock! Chicago on Wednesday, February 28. This benefit show will include performances from local groups Waltzer, Oux, and Macie Stewart. Tickets are on sale NOW at evanstonspace.com.

Girls Rock! Chicago builds socially just community with girls, transgender youth, and gender-expansive youth by developing leadership, fostering self-esteem, and encouraging creative expression through music.
