First haul from this season! We buy their gorgeous blooms from June thru Oct for events, weeklies and for the retail shop! We just love this Mom and Pop Flower Farmer duo so much, headed into season 3 with them!

What a whirlwind the past few weeks have been! With a few weeks notice, we managed to participate in an event I long admired, at on Michigan Ave! Huge learning curve for us, all while juggling additional events and Mother’s Day pre orders at our retail shop.
Our theme was photography and we chose Bill Cunningham for our mannequin installation. And of course, we had to include his other, most essential appendage other than his camera, his trusted bicycle.
Bill cruised around New York City with several bicycles throughout his career and graced is with his street fashion images for decades.
We hope our installation was as much fun and inspiring to look at as it was for us to create!

Flowerlife “seasonal handheld” workshop with these fun ladies was sensational! I genuinely had as much of a great time as they did! That is what makes a fantastic workshop experience. More workshops coming up soon. They are currently being held in the retail shop, hoping to relocate to our soon to be larger floral studio! 🌸 Oh and…..”Go Irish!”

International Women’s Day pt 2. How absurd ig allots 10 slides per post and I get it. I wish there was a constant reminder every day that showcases the triumphs, sacrifices, endurance, complexity and passion women have contributed to the world in its years. I have grown from learning about women who have inspired in the past and continue to learn from women in the present. I needed to continue showcasing more women who are in my and Emma’s ❤️ Especially the one with a sweet friend, they will be women worthy of inspiration one day. Actually they are now. I learn and am amazed of this next generation of caring,loving, smart, supportive leaders/friends❤️

Ending the year at with my favorite amaryllis, Wild Amazone. It’s sort of a light toffee/lime whisper with a burgundy hint. It’s small enough not to overpower an arrangement but large enough to stand out on its own.

Grateful for spending time with my daughter on my birthday at . I do this every year. She’s getting more comfortable staying a bit longer before she wants to go home. This year we visited our favorites including the linden wood grand statement flowers from the Cassiobury House, the overmantle is remarkable in person. 17th century Northern European decorations.
1630’s Dutch painters, a Picasso exhibit and rounded it out with Chagall.

Ordered so many buckets of local farm fresh dahlias from our favorite for next weeks fashion show and luncheon at ! With touches of Barbie pink, can you tell how excited I am to create with THESE blooms?
Shown buckets are for our retail division . We have a knack for making some gorgeous Bucktown Bouquets. They are sold Thursday thru the weekend…come and get ‘em!🌸🌸

Sugar plum moments of Hannah and Emma’s wedding captured by the one and only
Hannah’s bouquet reflected the amazing custom suit, filled with bold florals (I actually hunted down brick red butterfly ranunculus for the win)and Emma tailored her own. Color, they wanted all the color! And the way Hannah looks at Emma, everyone should be so lucky😍

Line ‘em up! Compote displays fit snuggly on our shelving units. All lined up and ready to be packed! I personally loooove these brass vessels, imported from India and lends itself to a great contrast against a lighter bloom palette 😊🌸🌸

Just hanging around this Sunday afternoon. Rainy Sunday afternoon that is. I love all seasonal blooms this time of year, smoke bush, hanging amaranths plumosa and so much more🌸 We’ve been using a mixture of either deep moody colors, vibrant colors or classic neutral for events this year! Love all options, not just one style inspires, how boring would that be?

Congratulations Lisa&Kelly! Four wall installs and two huge bar displays in record time! We had a small window to prep, set and leave! Wish I got some better pictures of the wall installations but, alas, pictures are the last details I think about. Even so, I think the installation came out great and Lisa was the easiest to work with and ever so special❤️❤️

Paramount up fronts at City Winery was completely gratifying. We were on the same page as their creative team and came up with a loose organic feel for all displays. Ordered some three foot yellow gloriosa lilies from Japan and topped them off with ivory bell fritillaria and caramel double head tulips.

Two years ago, my cutie patootie went to nursery school with her special lunchbox. Trying to navigate raising a strong, independent girl who is self assured, confident and who is caring and loving takes a village. I am so lucky to not only have amazing woman friends and family that little Emma looks up to but a host of woman teammates at both the flower studio as well as the retail shop that are insanely talented and beautiful inside and out! How lucky are we and how grateful!

Integrity. That’s what I hope to raise her with.
