On view: "Carbon Register No. 1" – a sculptural biolab created for the cultivation of the native freshwater algae Cladophora abundant in Lake Michigan and a primary carbon sink in the region – created by Carbon Register – artists Sara Black, Marc Downie, Amber Ginsburg, and scientists Andy Scarpelli and Sarah Rosengard.
𝘔𝘺𝘵𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘖𝘳𝘨𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘤 𝘊𝘪𝘵𝘺 presents a historical and contemporary overview of Chicago’s design and land use, from its indigenous roots through 20th century infrastructure projects to present-day developments.
