Our Story
The National Police Paintball Organization was founded in 2005 by Ron Baez and Enrique Perez. The N.P.P.O. was originally established with the mission to introduce paintball to law enforcement officers as an alternative recreational sport to assist in releasing the various stresses associated with job, as well as to help reduce the rising su***de rate among the law enforcement profession. Over the years, the N.P.P.O. has developed into an organization that provides first responders and the local community weekly paintball & airsoft events and private parties, and attends local paintball & airsoft parks themselves, representing their official scenario team, OP/4.
The National Police Paintball Organization is a group of law enforcement and military professionals, friends and family, who play for fun and to raise money for law enforcement related causes and charities. The organization is currently run by a staff of five dedicated first responders, united by a common goal and vision, which is to bridge the current gap between police and the community.
The N.P.P.O. is also dedicated to event production for both first responders and civilians. Their flagship event, Battle of the Badges, is a first responder exclusive 5-on-5 tournament held every Spring and Fall. This event allows first responders from local agencies and military branches to engage each other on the field in a controlled environment that offers not only friendly competition, but much needed stress relief to those who need it most. The N.P.P.O. will also begin producing additional tournaments and big games open to first responders and the general public.
In September of 2007, a partnership was formed between numerous law enforcement agencies and the N.P.P.O., along with their community members, resulting in the formation of "Police and Community Together" (P.A.C.T.), a non-profit organization. P.A.C.T.'s mission is to establish good relations and interaction between local officers and the communities they serve through the sport of paintball. Additionally, P.A.C.T. partners with other non-profits to donate paintball equipment to the less fortunate youth giving them the opportunity to participate in our initiative. P.A.C.T. also donates to various 1st Responder charities.
