As CFO/COO, he worked closely with the inaugural CEO to add cannabis business knowledge to his strong business foundation. Fred co-founded Ayo Foods, a branded frozen meals start-up featured in major national retail outlets, including Whole Foods, Costco, Sprouts, Walmart, and Kroger.

Ayo started with 50 stores in the Whole Foods chain in 2020 (during the pandemic) and grew to distribution in over 5,600 stores in two years. Fred is also an experienced Chicago residential and commercial real estate developer, bringing a critical skill set to Blounts&Moore as we build our dispensaries. In the finance arena, he has performed in analyst and senior management roles for LaSalle Bank, BestBuy, and Sleep Number, bringing retail and banking experience to the organization.

A resident of Hyde Park, Fred has extensive contacts in the Chicago business and government sectors. He holds an MBA in Finance and Strategy from the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Business.

As a legacy employee, Lori was tasked with scaling and growing the internal talent acquisition function from the ground up, launching and staffing 6 business units across cultivation, retail, extraction and manufacturing in SW Michigan.

She was also a principal member of the NOBO Inc licensing team during the Illinois Adult Use licensing round. Lori provided full cycle licensing and regulatory support for key stakeholders resulting in 3 highly competitive dispensary license awards for partners in the Chicago BLS Region.
