On Saturday, April 6th, RRamova Theatreand American Bocce will be teaming up to throw the neighborhood a mini bocce ball festival! With leagues set to debut in May, Ramova Theatre is kicking things off in style with an afternoon full of bocce fun!

Included in the afternoon will be open courts for casual play, bocce basics workshops, opportunities to play the pros, early bird registration on Spring leagues, and smack dab in the center of it will be our spectator-friendly Crosstown Classic Tournament featuring 48 of the city’s best players!

The Tap Room will be open to accommodate American Bocce’s favorite rule: players must have a drink in hand to throw!

We are so psyched to be partnering with Ramova Theatre to debut Bridgeport Bocce this year!

We’re kicking things off with a No Skill Necessary Wednesday Night League, perfect for all of our neighborhood friends looking to break up their week and be a part of something special right in the heart of Bridgeport. This league will kick off on Wednesday May 1st and run for six consecutive weeks. The league will come to an exciting conclusion on June 5th.

If you’re in the league, here’s what you can expect:

- two official games per night, accompanied by an experience referee who will teach the game to newcomers help keep games moving in a timely manner.

- weekly newsletters that offer things like Player of the Week, Team of the Week, Strategy Sessions, and updates on everything you need to know

- a friendly and high-energy community featuring dozens from the Southside alone, as well as hundreds of others throughout the city

- all teams compete for prizes, pins, and honor on a rowdy playoff night that features a Gold and a Silver Bracket

Players is teaming up with American Bocce Co. to bring you a fun and fast-paced bocce ball league, perfect for beginners and intermediate players!

Teams will play two games a night for the first five weeks, and on a Week 6, we blow it open with a Big Bocce Playoff Night featuring a Gold and Silver Bracket.

Milan and I called the Championship Game at the Aldo Della Croce in St Louis. Due to wifi issues, the stream went down about halfway through, but luckily we preserved the full video and released last night. It's a great game between the Italia America Bocce Club and Highwood Bocce Club!

Another remarkable weekend taking the ABC Development Class on the road! This time we were in the Waterside Club in Phoenix, New York. 20 minutes outside of Syracuse, Waterside is a social club boasting two Colleoni courts and a gorgeous cigar lounge. Over the three classes we touched on grip, stance, release, speed, shooting, decision making, and even culture. We held two members classes and one family-focused one. Gabriel Q and Dino Franceschi shower us with gracious hospitality any time we’re in town, and for this one, we had a special appearance from the Bocce Broadcast Network (Milan Tomic and David Hoffman).

Nationals 2023 at the home club!

Highwood Bocce Players,
We are proud to be hosting this year's United States Bocce Federation's National Championships, June 19 through June 24. The events and schedule are now set, and we will begin taking registrations shortly.

Sunday, March 12 at 2 pm we will hold an information session for members interested in competing.
During the meeting we will review the events, schedule, player requirements for participation, registration instructions, and more. We will also do our best to answer any questions. Please join us if you think you'd like to compete in this year's events.

American Bocce presents the championship games for the Gold and Silver divisions of this year’s American Bocce Open.
The broadcast begins with a pregame show in which Alex Gara and Matt David review the action on and around the courts and preview the matchups.
Then the coverage will turn to the Silver Division championship. After that we move on to the big game: the Gold Division championship.
It’s going to be a great evening for bocce fans, so tune in and settle in. Good Bocce!

New Champs Alert Alert 🚨🚨Our playoff frenzy started a little early last Thursday, as ThNB at Brickhouse came to a close to make room for the season. The night was full of barnburners, most notably in the first round when both Hakeem Oboccewon and Where Is Sam?! narrowly escaped early exits. But eventually the reigning champs faced off against Brick's longest tenured team and in the end Where Is Sam?! took the title! Game of the Week: Goofballs 12-10 over The FCC || MNB .. The first week at Chop ended with a heavyweight battle between the last two MNB Champs. The FCC took control early, but Spomer Spomer'd his way back, creating some big openings and leading a charge to give The Goofballs a lead. At 11-10, down to ther last ball, Alex dropped a kisser on a deep pallino, but it didn't last: Jessie immediately answered with a perfect boop walk-off.
