Thanksgiving Eve means something different to everyone, but for us, it’s holiday tablescaping time. Our Senior Event Planner and Director of Business Development, @cjdekaty , never puts down her event planning hat — even when she’s home for the holidays — and we LOVE that about her.
Every Thanksgiving, she gathers with family in Southern Wisconsin, and bonds with her mama over a shared love of tabletop curation and entertaining. And she outdoes herself time after time (those pops of green velvet on the dinner menus, the vintage, etched wine glasses and sea glass water goblets, foraged greenery, and turkey napkin rings = legacy decor that’ll last for seasons on end).

𝕋𝕙𝕒𝕥 𝕣𝕒𝕚𝕟𝕓𝕠𝕨 𝕔𝕠𝕟𝕟𝕖𝕔𝕥𝕚𝕠𝕟, 𝕥𝕙𝕠𝕦𝕘𝕙 🌿 🌈 🌿
Getting married at a venue renowned for its winding green ivy facade is the perfect excuse to go a little extra colorful 𝘪𝘯𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦. For Emma and Mark’s Labor Day Weekend wedding, we created a ombre oasis to backdrop their ceremony — replete with garden roses and fluffy hydrangea in the softest pastel hues.
But, above them, we turned up the vibrancy of the rainbow palette, mixing in full color (orange, bright pink, and purple tones) focal flowers with whimsical amaranthus and wisteria. And it all popped against the hanging greenery and crystal chandeliers.
When our vision and result are one in the same, it’s truly a thing of beauty!

That first meeting you have with your wedding planner and design team is so important. It’s what frames everything to come, and we try to learn everything about our couples in that all-important consultation. Even if you don’t have your vision completely worked out in your heads, that’s okay, because we take you and your partner, your backgrounds, your heritage, your stories, as OUR biggest inspiration for YOUR big day. And then we take design liberties, build and layer, tweak and tailor to ensure you two are at the center of it all!!
Amanda and Dan gave us full creative control when it came to dreamscaping their day. Some of our clients give us Pinterest boards or hard and fast guidelines, and others put it all in our hands! For this lovely couple, we created a mood board and presented and blueprint a plan from scratch...and they were all in! Amanda is Vietnamese, Dan is Venezuelan, so we tied in both cultures by using amaranthus and orchids, kindred flowers to their countries’ symbols.
It was a beautiful inspiration-gives-way-to-reality-situation!

We always ask our clients to create and/or share (if they’ve been imagining the day for a long time already) their Pinterest boards with us — so that we can understand their dream color story, favorite flowers, and overall aesthetic ‘game plan,’ so to speak.
Kristina went to WORK, and gave our Giora the most articulate visual representation of what she and her husband Nick wanted on their wedding day. And we brought their vision to life on the first day of Fall. A perfectly elegant and timeless green and white color story, with little moments of pink.
P.S. Their tall centerpieces might have been our favorite part of the day. We decided to flip the floral vases upside down on the day-of, and it helped bring out this whimsy hourglass design that vibed with our bride in the best way.

Fun fact: We love to reflex our tulips most of the time, meaning we gently peel back the petals, showing off every inch of their beauty!
