Elope to Chicago is a site offering packages for couples wanting to elope or have small weekday (Mon-Fri) weddings in the Chicago area.

Elope to Chicago is a site dedicated to helping couples in the Chicago area plan their elopements or intimate weekday weddings. ETC was started by local photographer Becky Brown (www.beckybrownphotography.com). It has grown from just photography services to complete packages including hair & makeup, flowers and an officiant. We have couples coming from all over Illinois as well as out of state to

get married! All packages are available for Monday- Friday weddings of 50 people or less (holidays excluded). Whether it's just photography you need or a combination of services we are here to help!

I had the busiest December ever and I just realized I never shared these beauties! Etse and Mike said I do downtown at city hall on a chilly Saturday morning. We snuck a few photos inside before braving the cold for some festive photos at the Wrigley Building. Congrats to the newlyweds!

Danced my way into 2025 with Kim and Bryan! They said I do at city hall before braving the cold for some outdoors photos at LaSalle Bridge. Some dresses are just meant to be twirled in!

I started 2024 at city hall and I ended it there as well! Jessi and Tony said I do on Saturday and despite it being more chaotic there than normal we had a great time! Can you believe I did 44 city hall weddings this year?! To give you and idea how wild that number is I did 42 city hall wedding total from 2020-2023! I’m not sure what happened that made it so popular, but ill@be kicking off 2025 there tomorrow so keep them coming!

Chicago really does the holidays right. I LOVE downtown in December. Lights and decorations everywhere and one of my favorites is the Wrigley building. When the is across the street from where you are getting married it only makes sense to stop for a warm mug after your I do’s. Pro tip - get there right when they open or it gets very very crowded very fast. Congrats to Heidi and Dan! Despite the cold day we had a blast hitting some favorite spots in the city. Chloe and Jason said I do at the end of November and it was a chilly one. We are heading into winter and while the inquiries are still rolling in, it is time for my yearly reminder that Chicago is COLD in the winter. Not like it’s cute and snowy Hallmark movie cold. More like you walk outside and the air hurts your face cold. Of course it can fluctuate a bit, but we don’t do outdoor ceremonies in January and February.

And no I don’t have some magic indoor option that has a city view and requires no money to use. That’s doesn’t exist. Are there some great indoor places? Yes. Are they all going to require a fee or permit or rental? Yes. We do our best, but we aren’t magic.

I’ll still brave outdoor photos as long as it’s not dangerously cold, but you need to be bundled and ready for the cold. As one of our brides from two week ago put it “I’ve never experienced cold and wind like that”. Leggings or tights under dresses or pants are amazing. Socks and shoes or boots vs open toe shoes. Coats are a must. We are doing mini skirts and exposed legs in the winter.And yes I love snowy photos and holiday shots, but I’d also love for my couples to not end up with hypothermia :)

We laughed, we cried, we nearly froze to death! But in the end Suzanne and Mandy were married. That’s a wrap on our Olive Park ceremonies for the year as it’s just too cold and windy out there in the colder months. But we were thrilled to be a part of their love story and end their 4 year engagement! Congrats to the newlyweds! officiant:

One day I hope I’m as cool as Kai and Jordan. From the second I jumped on a zoom with them I knew their wedding day was going to be nothing but good vibes. We loosely had a plan but also just wanted to let the city shine and just stroll around after their city hall wedding. I loved how authentically then this day felt. Nothing felt forced and that’s what I aim for at every elopement. Just be yourselves. Congrats to the newlyweds!

I’ve been slacking on posting here and completely forgot to share this gorgeous elopement from October. After saying I do at city hall Jaclyn and Francisco strolled around Pilsen to capture some of their favorite murals and street art in the area. With so many amazing neighborhoods we love it when our couples choose to include theirs in their wedding day! My suit:

Did we do the windiest elopement ever on Halloween? Possibly. Was it amazing? Yes!
Despite Mother Nature really bringing the spooky vibes and wild winds for Halloween, we did the sweetest wedding by the lake. We may have nearly lost all the ribbons for the handfasting ceremony in the lake, but it made for some fun photos and good laughs (and we caught them all thanks to some fast moving family members). Melissa and Clint said I do last week overlooking the Chicago River. Sounds lovely right? Well Chicago through us a couple of loops first by having all access points around Trump hotel closed so we couldn’t walk from their hotel to the spot we wanted to the ceremony. Yada yada yada…. We may have climbed over some barriers and went to plan B for where we did the ceremony. I think it ended up even better and a good story for later! But I don’t recommend it in a wedding dress haha. Thankfully our couples roll with the punches and being a local I can always pivot to a different spot if, for whatever reason, the original plan is no longer an option. I met Tanner and Blaine on Sunday and they exchanged vows under these gorgeous red trees before we soaked in one of the best Chicago nights by the lake for sunset.
