Southside Blooms was awarded a $200,000 grant from Invest For Kids this week! Invest For Kids is a foundation dedicated to supporting highly effective not-for-profit organizations that serve Chicago area youth from disadvantaged communities. They host an annual investment conference where industry professionals share best practices with all proceeds going towards supporting organizations like ours! Our youth get 100% of the gratuity at any given event. This money goes a long way to support them and their families.

It creates an extra incentive for our youth to strive for excellence each and every day in order to secure a spot on one of the coveted on-site event teams.

We emphasize to them that tips should never be expected but always appreciated.

No power, no problem! A storm ripped through Englewood last night and parts of the neighborhood were left without power - including the shop! It was time for a quick pivot and we took it back to our roots and the Eco House basement cooler where it all began! The farm team sprung into action and helped get it done.
