January 27th 2021… I shot these in a studio apartment in 935 M in Atl. Out of need. My virtual music program was scoffed by the owner of a cocktail bar. We marched up and down the internet for almost a year before he noticed the hashtag. I purchased sound equipment and we thrived inn the actual space. Then the goal was to stay afloat after the rest of the bars and world opened back up. My creativity’s was swirling and my need to compete with the image conscious Atlanta was high… Don’t tell me we can’t get it done regardless to adversity.

Music is a hugely important piece of the puzzle and Djing has fortified space for me. But it’s always been more than that. It’s about creating moments that linger—spaces where trust, traffic, and transactions flow effortlessly.

This 2010 throwback takes me to Milwaukee Avenue, across from the salon where I worked. Another hub of culture. That night wasn’t just about music; it was about bringing people together through intentional food, beverage, décor, and vibes. I have done this work time and time again.

Now, with my pivot brand, We will take it further:
- Food & Beverage: Menus designed to complement the mood and elevate the experience.
- Décor: Lush, intimate settings that invite people to stay and connect.
- Music: Deep, sexy, jazzy, and soulful sounds that build trust and spark emotion—genres that drive energy while encouraging relaxation.

Here’s the thing about hospitality: Owners can be aloof, control freaks, or diabolical geniuses. But what I’ve learned is this: nothing changes if we don’t. Lux Listenings is about leveraging intentional relationships, thoughtful design, and my years of expertise to create spaces that don’t just survive—they thrive.

I’m a curator of experiences, a connector of people, and a builder of trust through sounds, spaces, and strategy.

God keeps moving me around. I’ll take it as a sign that better is on the way.
