12 years ago, Party Like A Princess began as a spark of an idea that would go on to ignite a passion in the hearts of so many. And 12 years of making magical memories has taught us a great deal. We’ve learned that…

-It’s not about the costumes, wigs, and accessories.
-It’s not about how many followers or likes you have.
-It’s not about how great your photos are.
-It’s not about how many bookings you have.
-It’s not about being the star of the show.

It’s about enriching a child’s life, whether you have 60 minutes or 60 seconds to make a connection. It’s about putting in the hard work, even when it’s behind the scenes and out of sight from everyone else. It’s about learning and growing… and then learning and growing some more. It’s about doing the right thing- always. It’s about making mistakes, and being wise enough to actually learn from them. It’s about being a kind person that other people want to be around. It’s about leading by example, but keeping yourself humble enough to let others lead you, as well. It’s about learning how to say yes, and when to say no. It’s about friendship, laughter, kindness, joy, love, determination, patience, hope… and making magical memories for everyone we meet.

As we close out our final week with Party Like A Princess, we wanted to take a moment to look back at our final two public events and share some of our favorite moments. ✨

First up… the Patio! On May 19th, we joined in one final collaboration with the Patio Theater to host a Princess Movie Party with TEN characters! It was an absolute blast, and we were blown away by the amount of people who attended. Thank you to our friends at the Patio Theater for seeing the difference in what we do, and choosing us as their partners to create magical memories for Chicago. It’s been an honor. 🩷

One last , Chicago! Angelica and Olivia did the very last party EVER last night, and it was the perfect way to close things out the same way we started it all… together. 💕

Yesterday was perfect. Just perfect. We can’t wait to share more about it this week, but for now, we’ll just say… thank you. We love our community dearly.

Last weekend we invited our team members to a keepsake photoshoot so they could get some nice photos as their favorite characters, and try on certain costumes and wigs for the first (and for some, the last) time. It was a day filled with giddy excitement, ooh-ing and aah-ing over each other’s pictures, memories to last a lifetime. The beautiful pictures were just the cherry on top of an already perfect day!

Our final event is taking place on Saturday morning! It’s free for our community, as a way to say THANK YOU for twelve years of your support! ❗️PLEASE NOTE❗️ While this event will be an absolute blast for children, please know that both Angelica and Olivia are also extending the invite to anyone and everyone who has supported our company throughout the years- friends, family, community members, colleagues, and more! We would love to share this beautiful memory with you! 💕

✨What can you expect from this event? It'll be a mix of Stories in the Park, a picnic in the park, a character meet & greet, a walk down memory lane, and a few little magical surprises here and there (because, let's be real, we're still all about the little things!). We’ll be sharing a few more details about what to expect in the coming days! And yes- it’s free for everyone!

⭐️FINAL EVENT ALERT!⭐️ It is with great joy that Party Like A Princess announces its final event... A Million Magical Memories: The Happily Ever After Party!

When we first began planning our final event several months ago, we started designing our biggest event ever... and then we realized something important: the whole "bigger is better" mindset just isn't us, and it never has been. So instead, we decided to close out our 12 years of business doing what we do best- connecting with our community and making magical memories at the place where it all started. 💕

So... what IS this event? It'll be a mix of Stories in the Park, a picnic in the park, a character meet & greet, a walk down memory lane, and a few little magical surprises here and there (because, let's be real, we're still all about the little things!). ✨And it's FREE!✨

Who is invited? ANYONE who wants to join! This Saturday is our FINAL Stories in the Park event, hosted by the princess who started it all back in 2018 (check out those sweet memories below!)... This event was designed entirely by Angelica, who wanted to create a free recurring event for the children in our community as a way to give back to the families who have supported us all this time. Combining her love of leading Party Like A Princess with her expertise in early childhood development, Angelica decided that she would bring this idea to life through Stories in the Park- an original creation by Party Like A Princess, starting in August of 2018.

Anyone else have those pictures or videos saved on their phones that NEVER fail to make them smile? This is one of ours. 💙 This sweet princess has met quite a few of our characters, and she was just delighted to host Cinderella in the fall! And what a wonderful hostess she was- waiting so patiently by the door, and happily welcoming Cinderella in. Seeing such kindness in children is always a heartwarming memory for us. 💕

We've gotten so many questions this holiday season about that big green buddy of ours, so here's a bit of grinchy info about him! 🎄Yes, he talks! Our custom made/hand painted prosthetic mask allows him to provide a fully engaging and interactive experience. He is one of few in the entire industry that allows for full and complete interaction! 🎁He can be his classic sassy self, OR he can show how his heart has grown 3 sizes! It's a new kind of #TransformationTuesday! Getting ready for a party- Mama Style! When we started Party Like A Princess in 2012, all of our lives looked so very different from where they are now. And that's just one more thing we love about this journey- seeing how we've grown and changed, both on the business front, and in our personal lives. Sometimes being a new mama is hard. Okay, let's be real: a LOT of times, being a new mama is hard. And running a business as a new mama sometimes feels like a frenzied joke of a rollercoaster... But WOW, it's SO much easier when you have a community of amazing women around you, lifting you up with endless encouragement. I'm so grateful for my business partner/sister, our invaluable team members, and our kind community who has offered so many words of support and encouragement whenever I see them at events. I never could have imagined that our small idea would turn into this incredible business. And I certainly never imagined that on the journey, I'd share my engagement, wedding, pregnancy, and birth of our first child with my princess family. But these moments make my heart really full... all of my happy worlds colliding, in the best way. It takes a village. It really does. And I have the best village in the world. 💛 Love, Olivia
