It’s an honor to receive a resolution from the Cook County Board of Commissioners on behalf of The Community Blood Center - Chicago where we have initiated the Lifeline Save Chicago initiative, spearheaded by our amazing Community Manager, Jamair Atkins.

The lifeline save Chicago initiative was developed to spread awareness on the need for Blood Donation in underserved communities. In conjunction with Maternal Health, Sickle Cell and Diabetes we are determined to increase the donor registry to help all in need of transfusion.

A heartfelt thank you to Commissioner Tara Stamps for sponsoring this resolution and for her unwavering commitment to saving lives. You too can save a life.

Honored to have been apart of such a momentous occasion. I am grateful for my political mentor Cook County Commissioner Monica Gordon for continuing to present me with opportunities. Habitat for Humanity is one of the largest housing authorities in Chicago and I am humbled to be able to partake in the groundbreaking ceremony of their community of townhomes. Overcoming homelessness with my mom as a teenager, this is a full circle moment for me. I am blessed. 🚀🚀🚀
