The Mountain Laurel Cottage is a collaboration between Cloudland Station developer John Tatum and architectural designer Coleman Mills with Harrison Design. The cottage features 1620 sq. ft. of indoor living space, and an additional 695 sq. ft. of outdoor living space, designed with outdoor living in mind.

The design of the cottage is inspired by the traditional architecture of the house, blended with modern and contemporary touches.

The Mountain Laurel Cottage is more than just a house; it’s a lifestyle. It welcomes you with its multi-use 1000+ sf of courtyards and covered porches, inviting you to enjoy the tranquility of nature and the warmth of community living.

This cottage is named after the indigenous flowering evergreen that adorns the valley, symbolizing the harmony between the built environment and the natural landscape that Cloudland Station embodies.

Welcome to This Old House! Sleeping up to 8 people, This Old House is the perfect family getaway home at Candlelight Forest!

March 2022 Guest review:

“This Old House was the perfect little getaway for our family! We have three children ranging from 21 months to 7 years, and they all had the best time! As other reviews have mentioned, the house was fully stocked with any and all things needed during the stay. The stream out front, the farmstead, and the animals (goats, chickens, donkeys) were visible from the windows and porch so the children were able to roam about on their own. The older two were outside from dawn til dusk daily. The tree house, rope swings, and lake were all within quick & easy walking distance. We were able to go into downtown Chattanooga several times during our stay, as it was such a simple (and beautiful!) drive. We enjoyed everything about the stay and hope to be back!”
