Our student, Danner McGarrah, was chosen to sing the national anthem at the Veteran’s Day Ceremony this week in Chickasha at Shannon Springs Park. We thank all of our troops today and every day for their service!

The Science & Arts Concert Choir will perform on Friday, October 4 at 11:30am outside of Davis Hall for the October Outdoor Lunch Concert. Come hear us and enjoy other musical treats from students of the USAO Music Department!

JOIN US on Friday, October 4th at our October Outdoor Lunch Concert. The performance will feature students performing a variety of repertoire on a variety of instruments! Not to be missed! Bring your lunch and sit with us for a bit of music to brighten the middle of your Friday!

Come witness the 24th season of the Davis-Waldorf Performing Arts Series, which features an exciting lineup of performers celebrating the rich tapestry of cultural expressions through music, dance, storytelling and comedy! This season, embark on a journey spanning different genres and eras, all united by a common thread of artistic excellence and engaging performances.

Season tickets are now on sale for $80, offering one non-refundable general admission seat to each of the four performances. Single tickets are $25 per show. Students can register with the name of their school to subscribe to the series for free.

Yay! Welcome to Professor Conlin! So excited to have you join the amazing things happening at USAO Music Department.

WELCOME! to our new Assistant Professor of Instrumental Music, Catherine Conlin. Professor Conlin will serve as the director of our bands and teach courses in music theory. Please join us in celebrating her appointment at USAO!

As a multi-instrumentalist and educator with a love of musical theatre, Catherine Conlin (she/her/hers) maintains an active career across the United States. Originally from Ohio, she received her Bachelor’s from Cleveland State University, her Master’s in clarinet performance from the University of North Texas, and is currently a Doctoral Candidate at UNT. Professor Conlin has performed with the Cleveland Philharmonic Orchestra, Cleveland Women’s Orchestra, and Cleveland Opera Circle. Her versatility and excellent sight-reading skills keep her in high demand, performing for theaters such as Lyric Stage, Tent Theatre, Grand Prairie Arts Council, Firehouse Theatre, Happy Ending Lyric Players, as well as countless others across the United States. With a passion for chamber music, Conlin is a founding member of Friends in Low Places Quartet, Two Clarinets Walk Into a Bar, and formerly All-Star Winds woodwind quintet. She can be heard as a clarinetist on UNT Wind Symphony’s albums Taylor Made, Noteworthy, and Hope. She is also featured on baritone saxophone in Below Jupiter’s album, Sonorous Dithyrambs. She is a member of the International Clarinet Association, the American Federation of Musicians, and Pi Kappa Lambda Music Honors Society.
