Am I the only one who’s starting to feel numb to chaos? It feels like that scene in Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz when she wakes up in the house in the middle of the cyclone before she lands in Oz. So much crazy going on you can’t even keep up with it flying by the windows in the eye of the storm. But this morning when I was walking my dog I saw the sunrise. And I remembered, beauty is truth. Also, that beauty and its experience is so profound it always reminds me that God is here. Even when it seems like he’s fast asleep. The Hindu deity, Vishnu, sleeps and awakens with our awakening to the universe of God’s love. And I know it sounds corny, but in world as crazy as this, the fact that love can exist at all proves that there is something supernatural beyond our understanding going on. So I wish everyone reading this today the blessing of amazing grace and beauty where you find it.

We have booked the Harlan Adams Theater for Saturday, September 17th for a one night only benefit to hopefully generate interest and funding to revive opera workshop at Chico State.
