Periodic reminder that we are one of the only LEGAL companies to rent bounce houses from in Western Massachusetts.
There’s a total of 99 companies approved by MA to rent inflatables, and 90+ service only the Boston area. Here’s the link to check:
https://www.mass.gov/info-details/companies-licensed-for-amusement-and-small-inflatables-facilities
Here’s an idea of some of the legal requirements:
1. $1,000,000 liability insurance per occurrence, $2,000,000 aggregate coverage
2. The owner or an employee HAS to have a license as certifying them as an Amusement Certified Maintenance Mechanic (study 70+ pages of laws and test on safe procedures and best practices.)
3. Every large inflatable (anything with a platform more than 12’ off the ground) needs to be inspected by the state.
4. CORI check on employees: this ensures that you can trust the company employees you’re allowing in your back yards, etc.
5. There’s some more…but the point of this post isn’t to give everyone operating illegally a complete road map…if you’re running an illegitimate inflatable business please reach out to Office of Public Safety and Inspections for help.
TLDR: with Parrott’s Pop-up Parties you are renting from a company that is fully legal to operate in MA, has insurance, licensing, and STILL has competitive rates and great service.
See below for a list of current amusement and small inflatables licensed companies.
