Jayden Beverly finished in 9th Place in the OHSAA Boys D1 State Track Meet with a time of 1:54.18 in the 800m

Kiera Archer finished 7th Place in the OHSAA D1 Girls 400m Dash with a time of 57.89

With a 2nd Place finish in heat 2, Kiera Archer has qualified for the finals in the 400m dash, and secured a top 8 finish in the OHSAA D1 State Track Meet.

She will run tomorrow at 4:15PM

Good luck to both Kiera Archer and Jayden Beverly at this weekends OHSAA State Track Meet.

Kiera will run in the 400m semi final at 4PM tonight (Top 2 finishers in each of the 3 semi final heats, and next two fastest times move on to the finals tomorrow at 4:15PM.)
Jayden will run in the 800m finals tomorrow at 4:45PM.

With a 5th place finish in the 400m run in 56.44, and based on 5th place times from the other three regions, Kiera Archer appears to have qualified for the 2024 OHSAA State Track meet in the first wildcard spot.

The girls were led by the following event champions:

4 x 800- Alana McKenzie, Katherine McCallum, Ava Beck, Ella Strauch
100 Hurdles and 300 Hurdles- Ista McNeal
1600- Alana McKenzie
High Jump- Taylor Hardiesty
100, 200, 400 and was named Meet Medalist-Kiera Archer

Coach Rob Strong had to say of the team, “So Darn proud of this entire team. Every kid contributed to what we did at the Cavalier Invitational and it was awesome watching them succeed! Very proud to Coach every one of them! Go Cavs!!!”
