Please let me know if anyone would like to help with the small stockings for the nursing home residents.
We have 70 residents that we would like to fill stockings with tissues, socks, hard candies, small lotion and a chapstick. Only a few weeks left… would like to deliver them December 19th.
If you would like to sponsor a resident for $5 please let me know. Anything will help.

Let’s not forget the elderly this Christmas season that may not have family or friends to spend time with.

Todays topic: Overcoming fear

Fear will rise at some points in our life; therefore, we must don the armor of God (Ephesians 3:11) and be strong because the enemies will try to attack us in our weakest moments. They know they can use fear to steer us away from using the GIFTS God has provided for us. When we feel fear filling our bodies, God wants us to remember that we can feel safe in His arms because He will defend us if we stand firm in our belief.
God’s word does not say that we won’t face trials, tribulations, or fear if we follow Jesus. We will endure both times of distress and times of peace, and we are guaranteed to face some challenges.
But Jesus died for us and He promised us that we can take His yoke, and He shall give us rest (Matthew 11:10). God will shield us in those scary moments, and He will bring us the peace that was promised. If we trust fully in Him, we will not be disappointed. We can overcome our fears knowing that Jesus suffered significantly through the evilness of man so that we can walk in perfect peace and Recognize that fear is not from God, and instead, embrace the spirit of power, love, and a sound mind that He has given you. Reflect on God's perfect love and allow it to cast out any fear that may be lingering in your heart. Trust in His love and let it be the foundation upon which you stand. As you go about your day, remind yourself that you are loved by a perfect God who has equipped you with everything you need to conquer fear.
