What a super busy food filled weekend! Friday was luau day featuring baked teriyaki chicken and Hawaiian macaroni salad. Saturday's taco cart celebration was for a handsome six year old. Menu items included carnitas, carne asada, and chicken tacos along with homemade red and green salsas. We also served up a crowd favorite, fresh fried tortilla chips....delish! And today's welcome back ohana lunch at church completed this feast of a weekend! Some SPAM musubi bites, my famous grilled pineapple salsa, and gorgeous pineapple cupcakes by my beautiful friend, Jeanine Alvarado. Along with a little help from Panda Express and their generosity, our fellowship was complete. So very incredibly blessed to be doing life with so many fabulous people and breaking bread together. This is one tired girl with lots and lots of dirty dishes, but I wouldn't want it any other way!

When you're waiting in the car at the soccer field to find out practice is cancelled for the evening and your son is doing a Spanish assignment looking at pictures of foods from Spain.....we rush home to make PAELLA!!!!! And who else has all the ingredients plus a PAELLA pan waiting for yummy goodness to happen....this girl!!!!

It's been a HOT week in Chino! Last week's bridal shower food and some prep before the special day. Chicken sliders, steak kebabs, orzo pasta with shrimp, and fresh fried wontons. Best wishes to the bride!

Recipe testing for a special birthday celebration this week.........Chinese style honey walnut shrimp! Yummmmm!!! Candied walnuts not pictured but were perfect, thanks to Winco! Perfect party food for the menu featuring fried rice, popo's fried wontons, and some traditional bbq pork. Let me know if I can help with any celebrations or meal assistance, I'd love to talk food!

Gorgeous venue for a wedding rehearsal dinner Friday evening. Japanese/French cuisine to dine on.....a first for this crazy cook. Brie and fuji apple puff pastry dusted with matcha as a starter. Nicoise salad with seared ahi, edamame, enoki, purple potatoes, quail eggs and pickled ginger all dressed in a ginger tamari vinaigrette. Ratatouille kebabs with a ginger soy glaze. Steak and "frites" with miso melon balled potatoes. And a few toppings of nori(seaweed), crispy shallots, and a horseradish shoyu sauce. So excited that it all turned out for this first time fusion culinary adventure!

So, we did a thing this past weekend. We got to provide party food for a special one year old. One of our ring bearers from way back in 1998 now has a son of his own who turned ONE! Amazing how quickly time flies! A fried rice bar with assorted toppings, grilled chicken and fried wontons made with turkey rounded out the menu. Thank you for letting us be a part of your special occasion!

Love, love, loving this opportunity to cook for wonderful people of ALL ages! Yesterday I prepared food for a pair of cutie patooties(my youngest customers) AND a beautiful customer 97 years young! Pork sliders with chimichurri, melon balled potatoes, salmon ceviche, cabbage rolls, shepherd's pie, and tons of LOVE rounded out the orders. Experimented with some fillings for a dessert wonton recently. Ended up with an amazingly delicious Oreo and cream cheese filled version! This new dessert option can join the Apple Pie Wonton filled with granny smith apple, spices, cranberry n white chocolate chips. Order some for your Thanksgiving feast! 🍫🍰🍏🥧

Shared some yummy party food with some awesome families of Troop 393 this past Sunday. It was an Arrow of Light Ceremony complete with taco/nacho fixings. Traditional taco seasoned chicken, chinese seasoned pork, egg fried rice, black bean salad w/lime dressing, grilled pineapple salsa, fried turkey wontons, jalapeno popper wontons, and tons of sauces for toppings. Full bellies for sure! Congrats again to the newly inducted Boy Scouts!

Congratulations to Jeff and Cynthia as they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary in Roaring 20's style to ring in the new year. I was honored to provide the fabulous couple and their guests a tasty meal of caprese kebabs, garlic n parmesan pasta, herb crusted steak bites, and sausage, peppers & onions. A successful Ladies Breakfast this morning complete with fellowship, food, and a few treasures to take home. Rice, Rice Baby set up included a winter fruit salad, breakfast potatoes, cheesy egg wontons, sausages n bacon, Porto's guava/cheese rolls, and my very first "Avocado Toast Bar". I'm so blessed to be able to share my passion for food with those around me!

And of course, Rice, Rice Baby provided fried Rice, turkey fried wontons, and jalapeno cream cheese wontons. We've been super blessed with a home we love sharing with others! Celebrating our 9 year old girl was a blast! We LOVE you Ella!!!!!

Who can say they have ever catered for a student that used to to be in their class, oh, over 12 years ago?!?! This girl can!!! Thank you Nathan Stevenson for giving me the opportunity to provide finger foods for your 19th birthday. It was such a treat and an absolute pleasure to serve you. Veggies with homemade ranch, chicken and steak kebabs, caprese skewers, and apple pie wontons with white chocolate n cranberry were tasty bites cooked by Rice, Rice Baby. A few cinnamon wonton chips were also added in as a bonus. Thanks for trusting and supporting me Teresa Lin!

Taco buffet for 150 guests was a huge success. Canyon Hills 8th grade AVID students and families feasted on scratch made shredded beef, grilled chicken, fresh grilled veggies, homemade rice n beans, and taco toppings for their end of year banquet. Wish I had more photos of the hot food, but we started serving our hungry guests so quickly I didn't get pictures in time. What mattered most is all our guests left the banquet with full tummies!

A special birthday celebration for an awesome brother n sister duo....Seanna and Luis. Thanks for letting me help feed your guests! Party food included turkey fried wontons, beef kebabs with my special homemade marinade, and shrimp topped orzo pasta salad with fresh herbs n veggies then dressed with a refreshing lemon vinaigrette. And some behind the scene pics of the prep....love beautifully chopped veggies!

Some tasty eats for a baby shower in Chino. Jalapeno popper fried wontons filled with cream cheese, jack cheese, green chilies, and diced jalapenos. Veggies with my homemade ranch dip. Orzo pasta salad in a lemon vinaigrette and topped with grilled shrimp.
