SAVE THIS POST if you’re a class of 2025 or 2026 guy who has yet to get their senior photos taken. 🎓

Your senior session should be unique to you and your interests! These photos are meant to be a celebration of who you are and what your high school career has been all about.

So here are a few ways I encourage my seniors to make their session their own!👇🏻

⁣🏈 Play a sport? Wear your uniform! Extra curricular actives are a HUGE part of your high school experience and will remain a part of many memories as well. So let’s capture you in your basketball jersey, football uniform, or even on the golf course.

🚜 Have any outside of school hobbies that play a big role in who you are? I’ve photographed guys with their cars, tractors, dirt bikes, and even snowmobiles! I’m always down for an adventure, so if we can drive to it or bring it with us, we can make it happen!

🐶 And of course… we can’t leave out a man’s best friend! If you have a beloved pet that you would love some photos with, we can absolutely include them. I’ve photographed dogs, horses, cows - no friend is too small or too big!

As this eventful year comes to a close, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to each and every one of you. It has been such an honor to celebrate so many milestones with you—from senior grad sessions to wedding days and everything in between. This year has been filled with countless special moments, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of them.

One of the greatest joys of being a photographer is watching families grow and documenting the memories that mean the most. Thank you for trusting me to capture these moments, it truly means the world to me.

There’s nothing like embracing the winter magic with the ones who matter most. ❄️🙌🏻 I may be a little biased, but I believe that family memories are made even more special through the lens of a camera! 😉

Last week, we talked about ASP’s senior session What to Wear Guide, so for this , we’re throwing out a few tips specifically for our senior guys!👇🏻
⁣⁣
1️⃣ VARIETY: Tyler here did a GREAT job at this! Swipe through the photos above to see! If you plan on wearing a t-shirt and jeans for one look, mix it up and wear a nice suit for the other look! Having a combination of different styles in your images really comes in handy when it’s time to design your grad cards!⁣

2️⃣ SOCKS: This may seem silly, but it’s a biggie! Make sure you have proper socks for each of your outfits. During certain poses such as sitting down, the socks are very noticeable. The last thing we would want is for you to be looking all dapper in your suit and then all of a sudden you realize you’re wearing a pair of old nike socks that don’t compliment the rest of the look.

3️⃣ INCORPORATE WHO YOU ARE: Your images are a reflection of who you are in this time of your life, so for example, if you’re super involved with high school sports, consider wearing your football jersey for one of your looks, bring a basketball along to shoot with, or even your letterman jacket! ⁣Tyler plays the trumpet, so of course we had to incorporate it into a few shots! 🎺

Happy ! This week I’m highlighting this Class of 2025 senior, Ephraim! And let me tell ya, his session was FUN! We shot at some really cool locations and… let’s just say a pretty unique prop was also used! SWIPE to see! 👉🏻⁣

Between making maple syrup in the spring and enjoying time outside during the summer, we found a great location to ensure we included his hobbies and who he is. We adventured out to @‌BeaverCreekReserve, where you can find a variety of scenery that was perfect for what Ephraim was looking for as his summertime job is keeping Beave Creek looking its best.

Choosing a unique location for your senior pictures helps to tell your story as well as adds a personal touch to your portraits. Whether it’s the family farm or a cozy café, the right setting can transform your session into something truly unforgettable.

There is so much beauty in having an intimate wedding. 🧡 Michael and Marisol decided to celebrate their special day with those who are closest to them by having a simple, yet tasteful ceremony at the court house.

Weddings such as these are becoming more and more popular, and we are here for it! ⁣Whether it’s a small backyard wedding or an adventurous elopement, more couples have been leaning towards these types of unions and keeping things simple.

Chilly crisp air, colorful leaves, all the creamy neutral tones - what more could a photographer ask for?! 🍂👏🏻 Fall sessions are a hot commodity around here and my availability always dwindles quickly!

When your senior wants to light things on fire, you light things on fire! 🔥

Taylor showed up to her session ready to have some fun! We lit an arrow on fire as well as a softball and the photos turned out pretty cool in my opinion! 🙌🏻

Taylor is passionate about family and sports. In addition to archery and softball, she rides snowmobiles, jet skis, and hunts! In fact, her favorite part about high school has been the sports.

After high school, she hopes to do lots of traveling and plans on becoming an anesthesiologist.

5 TIPS FOR YOUR WEDDING DAY! 💍

After photographing many weddings… and I do mean MANY, I’ve picked up on a few things!

So I thought I’d share 5 of my biggest tips for having a successful wedding day:

• Schedule Extra Time: Build a buffer into your timeline for getting ready, photos, and transitions between events. This helps keep stress levels down and ensures you have time to relax and enjoy the day.

• Personal Touches: Incorporate small, meaningful details that represent your relationship. Whether it’s custom vows, a signature drink, or a special song, these touches make the day feel uniquely yours.

• Stay Hydrated & Eat: Amid the excitement, it’s easy to forget to drink water or eat. Arrange for snacks and drinks to keep your energy up, so you’re feeling your best throughout the day.

• Delegate & Trust Your Vendors: You’ve put in the work, now it’s time to let go. Trust your vendors to do their jobs, and delegate responsibilities to family or the wedding party so you can focus on enjoying your day!

• Seating: Instead of your family sitting on “your side” have them sit on the opposite side of the aisle, so they’re able to see your face and not just your back!⁣
Trust me, these tips will help to create a more relaxed, and enjoyable wedding day for all who are involved!

Family photo season is upon us! So here are 3 tips for having a SUCCESSFUL family session with little ones!👇🏻

1. Be very intentional with the timeframe you choose to book:

If your kiddos are still at the age where they need a daily nap, make sure to schedule your family photos around nap time. You know your children best, so if they’re super happy before nap time and tend to be grumpy when they wake up, plan the shoot for before. If they get sleepy and whiney beforehand, then plan for after so that they can show up refreshed and in a good mood for pictures!

2. Be prepared for the weather:

Fall/winter sessions are popular for photo shoots due to holiday cards being a tradition for many! So plan their outfits accordingly! We don’t want anyone getting too chilly and ending up with a runny nose! In which case, bring along tissues just incase! We wouldn’t want you to dirty your sleeves wiping away the boogers. 🤪

3. Bribery is sometimes necessary:

Make sure your kiddos are well fed beforehand, but ALWAYS pack extra snacks and some treats your kid(s) will love! This will work as an incentive if need be when it comes to smiling, posing, and looking at the camera! Maybe even mention that you’ll go get ice cream afterwards if they’re on their best behavior. 😉
