Reminiscing on this beautiful winter reception from last year!

This couple left the gathering hall very open, only using the cocktail tables and some lounge seating areas. With donuts and drinks for their food, this set up encouraged a lot of easy mingling and movement for their guests.

Hi! I’m Cassidy, and we’re the Bells 👋🏼

I’ve introduced ourselves several times, but it’s been a while and we have new followers. Welcome!

We opened The Hive in June 2021, and welcomed our youngest son Ottie 9 days later. In September 2019, I held our oldest son Riot on my lap in the hospital (only a few hours old) and opened the first draft of our architectural files for the Hive in my email. Both of our boys have grown up at the venue and consider it a second home.

Brennan and I are high school sweethearts and have been married almost nine years now. Brennan works at ICCU and I’m a wedding and family photographer. We built The Hive because Brennan was tired of me saying how cool it would be to build a venue and talking about how badly our area needed one.

Now we spend many of our nights as a family here. Brennan and I doing yard work or maintenance inside while the boys ride their scooters or try to “help”.

We really love this special place and feel so lucky to share it with a community who loves it as well 🫶🏼

Wedding day is so full of beautiful moments, but if I had to pick a top three:

• the moment when you walk back down the aisle together as husband and wife and then have about 30 seconds to look at each other, hug, and say “we just did it!!”
• after the first minute of your first dance song when you stop feeling nervous and just settle into each other and talk
• the moment that you both look at each other after you just ran through a tunnel of sparklers or bubbles, and you close the doors of the car and smile at each other - just freaking happy about the day and relieved to be alone again together.

Maybe I’m a bit of an introvert, but it’s all of the quite alone moments where you soak each other in that really get me! ✨

I think it’s also pretty safe to say that my love language is quality time!!

Jay & Brett’s beautiful wedding day 🤍

We love when couples get ready together. It’s so easy to spend the majority of your wedding day apart and by the end of the day you’re left wondering how you didn’t spend more than 15 minutes alone together. A chill morning getting ready and enjoying each others company is underrated in our opinion, and one of the best ways to get extra time together!

We had such a beautiful weekend of weddings at The Hive and more amazing events lined up for this week. We feel so lucky to have your happiest memories live here!

Fall and Winter 2023 still have availability on prime dates, please reach out if you have any events coming up. As dates get closer, we frequently offer discounts to fill our calendar.

We love weddings, but also host baby showers, bridal showers, business luncheons, anniversary parties, birthdays and more. 🤍

Our Summer 2024 calendar is also quickly starting to fill up some of those peak season weekends! It’s not too early to schedule a tour and look at our availability.

Fun fact, Kailey + Grayson were the only couple to ever get married at 833 East Chubbuck Rd. The address on the Hive was corrected the following Monday morning! 😂😂

The night before! ✨

In case you missed us raving about this incredible rehearsal dinner set up at The Hive last night, let me tell you all the things we loved about it!

✨ we love the intimacy of a rehearsal dinner! All your closest friends and family, sharing a meal together. This is such a special way to start the wedding festivities.
✨ this rockstar bride and her mom did all of the decor themselves! 🤯 (all in favor of them starting a wedding design business raise your hands! ✋🏼) When couples choose to DIY all or part of their day, we recommend adding more time to their schedule to make it more comfortable and doable. You deserve to enjoy your special day. After dinner last night, they quickly transitioned the room for their reception today. They made their day today so chill, and pulled off the DIY wedding of all our dreams! 👏🏼👏🏼
✨ one of the smartest things this couple did was rent the venue on both Wednesday and Thursday. Two weekdays ended up being cheaper for them that one full Saturday. And allowed for the comfiest and carefree timeline. Weekday weddings are seriously underrated!
✨ their outfits?! We all need a second fit for the wedding festivities, and theirs are perfection!
✨ last but not least, we are still MAJOR fangirl-ing over the decor and design choices! It’s simple, elegant, the floral arch is a big statement piece, and the marquee letters are the perfect cherry on top of it all!

I hope you took notes! 📝 Jenna and Easton have officially taught us how it’s done!

One of my favorite weddings that I’ve attended at The Hive is on the blog now!

Trinity and Luis did such a beautiful job of blending cultural traditions on their big day, and it made it all so special! Trinity honored her Chinese heritage with a second red dress and pieces of her mother’s jewelry. Luis’ family brought several fun Hispanic traditions to the evening’s dance party and reception. For dinner they had Mexican and Chinese food, potluck style!

I need to know, do you still wear your original wedding ring? Follow up question for anyone who doesn't: Did you upgrade for an anniversary? Do you wear a silicone ring for the gym and never put your band back on? Did you lose it?! 🤭

And if you still wear your original, do you still love it?

Please tell me all about where you're at on your ring journey! I need details!

I personally still wear my original ring and love it. However, you'll frequently see me without it because I take it off while I'm lifting and forget to put it back on.

Once upon a time, I was putting Kila + Kasin's photo up on the TV before their luncheon at The Hive. The photo of them was so insanely beautiful that I begged to send me the full gallery. And now you get to see some of the most beautiful formal photos you've ever laid your eyes on!

Kila and Kasin had the prettiest luncheon at The Hive after their sealing last month in the Pocatello Temple, and then a reception the next day in Burley. It was so fun to be a small part of their wedding weekend!

I’m so very grateful for those who fought for the freedoms I enjoy with my family every day.

Last night during fireworks, our poor Ottie was terrified. It just wasn’t his year, even with the noise cancelling headphones 🥴

As I stood back and admired the incredible show — Pocatello seriously put on an insane firework show, bravo!! — and held a screaming two year old, my heart was heavy. I couldn’t help but think of mothers throughout history and all over the world who have been in the unfortunate position of comforting a terrified child in the midst of a loud and scary war zone. I’m so grateful for the privilege I had last night to whisper the words of comfort to him, “it’s okay, you’re safe.”

I’m beyond grateful for the mothers who sent their husbands, their children, and even themselves into the middle of terrifying wars to fight for my family’s freedoms and for me to tell my boy that he’s safe. I will always choose to honor their bravery, sacrifice, and love.

We love when we get to use The Hive to celebrate non-wedding events with you. We have the main area (pictured here) but we also rent out our studio space, .honeystudio, for smaller events! Both are perfect for baby showers.
