We didn’t have a white Christmas this year but we are making up for it in January! And as I’m gazing out the window at the falling snow (we will be getting an additional 2-4 inches today) my mind wandered to times, like today, when the weather made it difficult to deliver flowers including on Valentine’s Day several years back. Now,about Valentine’s Day 2025–I will NOT be open on Valentine’s Day this year. I’ll be on a long-awaited, bucket-list trip with my husband and siblings. This year, Valentine’s Day is on a Friday. I WILL be open the Monday through Wednesday of Valentine’s week, so if you want to get Valentine flowers for the precious people in your life, you will need to pre-order them for delivery between Monday, February 10th and Wednesday, February 12th. The advantage is that your Valentines will enjoy their flowers all week long. You don’t have to wait to order your flowers. What are you looking forward to in 2025? I gave up making resolutions I couldn’t keep in favor of identifying themes to guide my thoughts and actions for the coming year. This year, I’ve chosen the word “create.” As in: create meaningful and memorable experiences, create space for new possibilities, create floral arrangements that bring comfort and joy to you and yours . . . October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. National Mammography Day is the 3rd Friday of October and is a reminder for all women to talk with your health care provider about whether a mammogram is recommended for you and if so to get it scheduled! In general, women age 40 and older should get a mammogram annually. Early detection saves lives!
