Congratulations to Dominic Barrett for his new position with Smuin Ballet in San Francisco.
Dominic has been a light on our stage at De La for 7 years and has moved on to a wonderful company in a great city. We are proud and grateful for of all his hard work and dedication to De La and happy for his new beginnings!!

e are so excited to have four talented groups of dancers joining us for our DanceCincinnati series! This weekend, among these groups, two include Just Off Broadway and Zahara Cincinnati.
Just Off Broadway will be performing 2 pieces, “Polite Dance Song”, and “A Table For One”. (Pictured above)

Zahara Cincinnati will performing one piece titled “A Light in The Darkness” this weekend and next.

We are so proud of our De La Dance alumni Charlie Klesa and Michael de la Nuez for their performance reviews by 'Haglunds Heel' blog.

Charlie, now with New York City Ballet and Michael, with American Ballet Theater, both recently performed two different works by Alexei Ratmansky, world renowned choreographer. We couldn't be happier about the well deserved recognition for these two!

Meet Meghan Green!
-
Originally from Upstate New York, Meghan began her training at the Draper Center for Dance Education, and as a trainee with Rochester City Ballet. To further her education, Meghan received a Ballet BFA at the University of Cincinnati’s College-Conservatory of Music. Over the years, Meghan has attended summer intensives such as American Ballet Theatre, American Academy of Ballet, and Cincinnati Ballet.

Meet Hannah Blair!!
-
Hannah Blair took her first steps in the world of ballet at a small, local studio in Noblesville, IN, at the age of 5. She studied under Pollyanna Ribeiro and Robert Moore for three years before being offered a position with Cincinnati Ballet’s Professional Training Division (PTD). Her summer studies have included Orlando Ballet, Ballet Magnificat!, Cincinnati Ballet, Philadelphia Ballet, and The Royal Danish Ballet.

Gabby began her training in Sterling Heights Michigan at Gotta Dance Studios. She then went on to further her training dancing with the Macomb Ballet Company. Post graduation she majored in dance at Grand Valley State University. She then went on to become a trainee with Ballet 5:8 in the suburbs of Chicago. After spending a year as a trainee she was promoted to be a part of the second company where she danced for the next 2 seasons.

A dancer from the Buffalo Niagara Region of New York, Megan began training at Chautauqua Regional Youth Ballet. She continued her dance education at Point Park University in Pittsburgh, PA and graduated in the spring with a BFA in dance and a minor in psychology!

JonMarie began her dance training at the Louisville Ballet School. She is an alumna of The Kentucky Center Governor’s School for the Arts and was a member of Regional Dance America Southeast for five years. JonMarie graduated Summa Cum Laude from The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music with a BFA in dance.

Our last summer program we are highlighting is the Pre-Professional Summer Intensive! This program is geared towards serious dancers who need great training, but desire smaller classes, personal attention, and a variety of dance forms.

The intensive consists of a 2 hour ballet technique class Monday through Friday, followed by an hour and a half pointe class 3 days a week and variations 2 days a week.
