I'm Kaitlyn, but to most people I am known as Kate and I am the founder, owner, photographer, and designer of Kaitlyn Nicole Photography and Design. I live in the small town of Harrison, Ohio with my boyfriend Danny, but I work towards making this crazy dream of mine an amazing reality wherever I can go (or wherever I can get him to travel with me)! This lovely passion of mine started at a young a

ge the day I was able to get my little fingers on my mom's polaroid camera; in that instant something just sparked inside of me and I knew I found my magic. I began posing people instead of Lisa Frank erasers and began to master composition instead of just pointing and shooting whatever was in front of me and now it has evolved to not only focus on photography, but design as well. My senior year of high school is when everything came full circle. Although I had already began Shutter Love (the former to Kaitlyn Nicole Photography & Design) during my sophomore year, it wasn't until senior year that I had my first "professional" shoot for my friend's senior pictures, but it was also the first that design had beome a possiblity. Throughout the year I had designed 4 posters for various school events, over 5 t-shirt designs for different events and school groups (including the teacher basketball shirts), as well as the slideshow for the class' "Scratch-Out-Hunger" fundraiser and bits and pieces of the senior video for the graduating class of 2011. It was the last month of my senior video when my teacher pulled me in front of the class to get a vote for anyone who thought I should go into Graphic Design. Long story short, I changed my major and went to Michigan to follow my newfound passion and I haven't regreted a second of the change. Since all that excitement I have moved back home to continue my studies, put my name into my business (no more Shutter Love or Exposure), become a God Mother, and more. From here I'm taking it day by day and enjoying my friends and family and all the people I get to meet along the way of this crazy, amazing journey I have set out on!
