Architectural, elegant with a touch of whimsy. N + F’s wedding day aesthetic was beyond chic but more importantly it felt like them as a couple, AND it was cohesive with their venue .estate. I often talk to my couples about how important it is to have your wedding day feel like you however it also needs to be cohesive with the venue you’ve selected. It’s achieving that happy balance that creates a perfect vision for your day, as well as hiring vendors that understand and can execute your vision.

I’m currently obsessing over all the gorgeous spring greens that are bursting to life outside. Green is one of my favorite colors, but when it comes to incorporating green tones into a wedding day palette it has to be the *right* green, if you know what I mean 😬 Lucky for me, we have clients that fully trust our judgement in choosing that perfect shade 🙌🏼

This year we have a lot of color on the books for our events! It’s always interesting to see each wedding seasons color palettes, as it varies so much! For instance, 2021 and 2022 were filled with French blues and dusty rose tones. 2023 didn’t have a color palette front runner but couples followed the seasonal tones! It’s tulip season around here, one of my favorite times of year. I often tell people that tulips are one of the most underrated flower, because most folks don’t realize that tulips (like this beauty) open up to so much more than what their tight buds start out as. This tulip is what we call a “double” tulip meaning it has double the amount of petals and opens up to the size of a peony!! Our next four weddings will all have gorgeous varieties of tulips as they’re at their glorious peak in Spring!

This year we have some fun pink weddings and it has me thinking about the hundreds of shades that pink flowers come in. One of my all time favorite pink bouquets were these for Natalie and her ladies featuring the crowd favorite - bohemian mocha lisianthus, the perfect shade of dusty rose pink in my opinion and with a fun dark chocolate center 🙌🏼

Today we get our first wedding flower shipment in for 2024 and to say I’m excited is an understatement. During the offseason one of the things I miss most is having massive amounts of blooms filling the shop! Our first wedding of the year is this week so stay tuned for some beautiful blooms and behind the scenes as we prep and design for A + J’s day ✨

It’s March which means our wedding season kicks off in a few weeks and I am excited to get back into the swing of it after a few months off! One thing I always look forward to is couples wedding day fashion, so I’m throwing it back to one of my all time favorite looks and a great example why a veil is a must in my book. .folchi looked beyond incredible with a statement veil, detachable cape and gorgeous gloves. Beautifully blowing in the wind and perfectly captured by it was a favorite moment from the day with ✨

Lilac season is quickly approaching and I couldn’t be more excited as it is one of my favorite blooms to use in the spring! Here we paired it with my favorite tulips around the belle epoque variety from our friends 🥰 Tulips are one of the most underrated flower in my opinion as so many people don’t realize that they can open up to the size of a peony!!

Green curry linens w/ black accents and pops of watermelon pink = a favorite color palette from last year’s wedding season! design for N + F’s wedding .estate was so unique and chic, we used gorgeous orchids, anthurium, cosmos and Japanese anemones trailing down the center of the banquet tables. Winter whites but make it interesting…I’m a big fan of making neutral color palettes unique by selecting floral ingredients that offer dynamic texture and shape. It’s what makes our designs different and gives each wedding a personal and elevated design aesthetic ✨

Last year we covered a lot of stages in florals and it made me so happy to do so! I say this because stages and band equipment can be SO ugly, filled with cords and such. Floral hedges atop a facade help disguise all of that and make your dance floor pics so much prettier with all the blooms in the background 😍 One of my favorites from last June .estate with for S + R. Dawn Creek zinnias might be favorite zinnias out there and Megan’s bouquet was full of them ✨We work with a lot of product that is more unique and harder to come by than your average roses, hydrangea and other generic wedding flowers. I personally spend a lot of time sourcing floral ingredients that are unique and cohesive with our couples wedding vision. This bouquet perfectly captured the essence of our ‘Autumn Light’ aesthetic, filled with soft warm fall tones thanks to those Dawn Creek zinnias, apricot lemonade cosmos, dahlias and celosia. All locally grown and sourced by farmers that appreciate and understand my bloom selection process and my OCD obsession with color theory! 😅

For wedding this past October we embraced bold color, particularly red tones! Red is not typically a common color used in weddings yet I fell in love with the cinnamon red we used throughout our designs. Paired with a perfectly thought out tablescape by it was definitely one of my all time favorite designs of 2023. Gorgeous image captured by 🙌🏼
