WEDDING TIP OF THE WEEK Try not to let the stress of planning your wedding get to be too much on you! Ask for help from friends and family, if it is in your budget hire a planner or day of coordinator to take some of the stress off of you. Keep your budget in mind and don't try to add things that are outside of that budget. Do not let friends and family make you feel like you need to have or do something because they did. Breathe deep and remember what is important to you about your wedding day. Take a minute to slow down and enjoy the beauty around you! Photos of sunsets at the venue are one of my favorites.

On March 16th of this year Joey and I had the pleasure of hosting our niece Allyssa’s wedding. We worked along side Austin’s parents to give them the best wedding we could and I think it turned out beautiful. Allyssa is like one of our own and Austin is a great young man. We put this wedding together in a few short months with the help of some amazing vendor friends that we are so thankful for! We had venue staff volunteer to work this wedding for free to help keep cost down, so many of our family members stepped in to help, Austin’s parents did an amazing job with dinner, the cakes were delicious and made by Austin’s mom Erin, other desserts were provided by a family friend, Erin also made all the bridal florals, Stephanie was an amazing day of coordinator (Erin and I could not have finished everything without her) Darrin was such a fun and entertaining DJ, Maudie did such an amazing job with all the photos, Vanessa did a beautiful job with Alyssa’s hair and makeup, Tuxedo Express was great for all the guy’s tuxedos, and Alterations Unlimited was great with last minute details. This date was a cancellation by another couple and we were blessed to be able to rebook with the same vendors already scheduled for that day. It was a lot of work in a short amount of time but the smiles on their faces make it all worth it. Austin and Allyssa we love you and look forward to everything your future holds. Erin and Ovi we look forward to many years of family get togethers.

WEDDING TIP OF THE WEEK Once you have chosen and booked your venue we believe the next step in planning your wedding is to decide who you would like for your photographer and DJ. Here is why, when booking these 2 vendors you are most likely booking 1 person and they will take 1 event the day of your wedding. Therefore book them early or miss out on getting the ones you really wanted! Catering is important for sure but when booking your caterer you could be booking with a company that has multiple teams they can send to multiple events the day of your wedding. Also think about if you are having a wedding planner, day of coordinator, videographer, a florist for fresh or artificial flowers, Photo Booth company, live music, etc. keep your budget in mind so you are not overly stressed about how to pay all the vendor balances when the time comes. Sometimes weddings don't go as planned, and last Saturday Macy and Kjell would have loved their ceremony outside if it weren't for the rain that came despite our prayers, forcing us to move inside. Everything turned out beautiful and we had a whole team working hard to make that happen! I truly appreciate every vendor that had a hand in making this a great day.
